Im not even really sure if i word the question correctly so i will just explain the situation in detail:
So first I want to play runescape at work so i can level some skills AFK a little (work can be slow), but the firewall blocks runescape, for obvious reasons, and have been trying to get a way around it without the usual proxy way, mostly because its my main account and i don't want a shared ip and jagex bans my account because somebody else was botting or something, things i have tried:
1. set up VMware workstation with windows 7 VM and used VMware WSX as an html5 in-browser client, this failed because it needs websockets to work, which is blocked.
2. Setup guacamole html5 clientless on a seperate server using the same VM with RDP enabled, failed i suspect the http tunneling may be blocked (which is the web sockets fall back) but i am not sure if it was just a config issue
3. work left me the windows 7 built in client for RDP so i used port redirection from port 80 at my firewall to port xxxx which went to the vm, but this failed for unknown reasons both at work and on a different non work connection
so those are my attempts so far, i have determined the things i cant do at work are: use any ports other than 80,443,8080 (there maybe others but every port so far has been blocked) i cant install vpn software, or really any software, except for chrome for some reason.
So now i come to the meat and potatoes of my question: I had an idea, since runescape runs in java, what if i used the server to load all the game code and what not on to the server at home but instead of rendering the graphics to the local display it gets redirected over the internet and gets rendered in my browser, is there any way to do this?
Essentially my idea is remote desktop but with out the desktop or really anything except specifically the graphics for runescape and the mouse and keyboard events.
is there a way to do this with existing software or maybe chaining other software to accomplish this?
