So yes, I've recently been starting to code some c++ at the school computer. But the computers we are given at college is locked so we don't have admin access and its a password protected uefi. I know I can remove the harddrive and solve the problem with hirensboot, koonboot or whatever boot on my desktop pc but thats not my question. My question is simply is there any good working c++ compiler which preferably is portable and does not require admin access to be installed? Also I'm not sure if we have jdk installed so I'm gonna have to check that. Im currently using notepad++ as an ide

Well you can try this, works great for testing simple programs
http://www.tutorialspoint.com/compile_cpp_online.php also has jdk installed on the OS, the terminal is at the bottom btw (May 21, 2015 08:12 AM)g4143 Wrote: C++ portable compiler? I believe you mean portable language. I don't think its possible to take a compiler that works on Unix and install that same compiler on Windows and expect anything but a OS error. Actually I think Visual Studio 2015 can do cross-platform compilation natively (iOS + android + linux) But Visual Studio have to be run on a windows computer (Or perhaps it also works with wine) You might want to check the specs of vs2015 : https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/news/vs2015-vs.aspx
By "portable compiler" he means a compiler he can run from a USB thumb drive or similar.
