Would someone be kind enough to help with this? I accidentally bought a Linux VPS, seller didn't specify and i'm clueless as to how this works. I've tried to google a few tutorials but it's just not sticking. Can anyone help me? please. I just need to be able to host web pages atleast.

if you got a centOS vps an irc based net would be easiest

otherwise you need to install apache and a whole bunch of other shit to get it web based

Just install LAMP

tasksel install lamp-server

(maybe you need to install tasksel)
