Hi guys, I have this one question, can Wireshark crack wep, wpa/wpa2 wireless keys like Commview for wifi collecting IV's. Cause every tutorial I come across the Net for Wireshark is always about sniffing/collecting packets for website usernames and passwords. But for that I would have to be already connected, and wifi connection is what im looking for. Interesting program though, but does Wireshark crack keys, if so where can I go for info, tutorials and etc, Thanks

No, the only thing Wireshark would be needed for in cracking WEP or WPA is to clean the junk in your .pcap. Only keeping your 4-way handshake and remove other not necessary packets.

Wireshark can be used to sniff passwords over network but i can also be used to have 4 way handshake so that you can crack it with aircrack.

No, wireshark isn't a bruteforcer, that's not how its designed. You connect it to a network and then it shows you all the packets going back n' forth. Aka so when some logs into a website, they send a packet with their login details. Wireshark sniffs that packet and then allows the user to login as someone else on a website.
