Hi Business,
Seen your activity and rep on here a lot and you seem like a real HQ guy. Is this a paid service or a free thread? I posted a thread easier today and got no responses. It's a VPN issue so if you don't mind I'll re-post it here for your feedback. Cheers!
Hi,
I am using OpenVPN or NvPn (I have seen it called both) as my VPN service.
Also using free DNS with their app/program to update my ip as it changes.
If I log on the VPN, then turn on FreeDNS, then NJRat my server is not showing up. There is no connection....
The fix I have found for this is to turn off FreeDNS, Go to their website and manually put the allocated IP that NvPn has given me that can be found in the system tray icon (this is the IP given to my device not the IP address I have when checking it on a "what is my IP" website)
Then I can turn back on FreeDNS. The connection to server continues but I can remote view or access the zombie computer. I have to close down NjAt, then turn it back on again and the server/zombie then re-connects...
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be? I can see to work out a logical way or reason why this happens and it's annoying me...
I used to use PIA which worked fine and never did this. PIA however only supported port forwarding one one port which they randomly changed every few weeks so I got rid. Is this an issue with the VPN I am using maybe?
Thanks!
os is windows 7 64bit
VPN is in text above Nvpn
Rat is NJRat
If you want me to remotely assist you let me know, I am sure I can fix it.
Issue: cant portforward think its due to xfinity router or norton antivirus?
