There's this huge scammer and multi accounter out there who is taking over / purchasing people's Hack Forums accounts to scam.

What he does is this, he finds an currency exchanger on HF, lines up a trade to purchase said persons Bitcoin, then he makes a thread saying that he's selling BTC. He tells the victims to send PayPal before he sends them the BTC, and they then send the PayPal money to the currency exchanger (thinking it's to him) that he's buying Bitcoin from. He gets his Bitcoin, and the currency exchangers has to deal with the chargebacks afterwards when the victim finds out he's been scammed...

His venmo: Venmo:Alex-Michael-10
He also shows a Florida drivers license to currency exchangers with a matching name.

Good find, lets hope he doesn't have any other HF account.

Just another reason to be careful about who you accept PayPal from.

Yeah, but there's no good way to verify that the person you're dealing with isn't hacked, and that it's actually coming from his/her PayPal. It's also very common for people on here to use their ewhoring PayPal's or otherwise fake PayPal information anyhow. 😕

Trusted members who you've dealt with before that have 2FA enabled and deal on-site.

Check the scam reports, he does deal on-site on accounts he's either hacked or purchased.
Looks fair, deal with caution boys.

I don't think that account matches the description I gave above though, unless you've dealt with that account before. Sorry you got scammed anyway.
Thank-you for the community alert, I've heard of this method being used quite a lot by IRL scammers.

Cynn matches, although I can't remember the date he scammed so it might've been before he enabled 2FA.
