[PS] How do I put CC on a transparent background image? pls help

Hi, I was kinda bored so I figured I'd try to design a League of Legends eloboosting thread design but when I put the color correction on the background gets messed up. I have also tried to use the hackforums standard background but it doesnt work. Is there a way to put color correction to not affect certain layers?

sorry for newbie question..

All you need to do is delete the weird grey background and save as a png or gif....
Ah, thanks a lot. Sorry for newb question....

But often when I try to save something as png that doesn't have "flat" edges it adds a white background so I thought this would be no exception. But thanks a lot you solved my problem :)

No problems. I always in Photoshop use a blank layer as my layer 0. Then from there I build my images. That way I know the white and grey boxes that photoshop does for a no background area.... i know that will be transparent when i save later on..... Get what I am saying?
Yeah, I get what you're saying :)

Thanks again!
