I feel like the ignore list is too often used by scammers to prevent particular users from viewing their threads. Take for example the infamous Prestigio - I know for a fact he added many crypter developers who knew he was attempting to scam to his ignore list. All it does is make it harder for them to be caught and reported by users who actually know what they are trying to do. The user who know what they are trying to do are unable to view the new threads created. I reckon it would be best if this feature was more limited to what can't be accessed, repping a person and sending them PM's should be blocked but not viewing new threads and posts.
I myself had Prestigio do this to me, and as a result I tried to alert staff. The way I went about it actually caused me to be punished by staff because I "created a community alert to be an asshole" even though it made sense I was angry. To put it simply, I believe the ignore list and the way users have to deal with scammers is flawed. We need a better system than these. It i
That wouldn't make sense of 'ignore' then, anyway, then can just make an announcement or something if they've been scammed.
Staff doesn't get involded in deals anyway.

The ignore feature restricts you from viewing thread and posts to prevent stalking, which members have done on many occasions. Then why not just prevent the user added to the ignore list from posting on that persons threads? Also stalking is only really an issue if there is a reason to stalk the person. In other words, it is their fault due to what they have posted. That should be handled as a report and move on system. Preventing the user from posting on threads seems much more efficient and should stop a large portion of that issue, alongside a PM block.
"Ignore" list,
Scammers trying to "ignore" people.
It works fine it seems.
How is that abused?
The feature is working fine. It is used to ignore people.
Make a scam report.

Make a scam report. If you want to "ignore" a person, then just prevent them from all communication with that user. In other words block them from posting on a users threads, replying to a users comments, repping that user and blocking that user from sending the other user PM's. Not from seeing the users threads and posts.

Enjoy I guess this is the most sufficient option for the mean time, however I still believe we should not have to go to the direct URL, but rather be able to do it through profile page.

I don't understand why the person being ignored shouldn't be able to see what the other user is writing (or anything else from the user). Ignore should only hide things from the person being ignored, not the other way round. It's not stalking when you're just looking at content they published themselves. If they don't want it to be seen, then they shouldn't write it in the first place.

What did you do to end up on Omni's ignore list? 🤣

Ignore doesn't do that. You misunderstand the feature.

That's more or less what it does. They can't PM you and you can't read their posts unless you click directly to show the post.

You just said that was a bad feature. I think you're very confused about what you want and how ignore works.

The definition if IGNORE is different than the definition of HIDE. One member adds someone to their IGNORE list...you effectively stop seeing their content but they can still see yours.
Ignore feature does not help scammers. As a matter of fact a scammer likely wouldn't ignore you to make sure you're not sales trashing or speaking ill of them. Most scammers will attempt to defend themselves.

I completely agree with this.
I only do deals onsite through PM's/Contracts.
I do not use Discord, or Skype, or talk to members offsite whatsoever.
I mean they can just write in the deal dispute or community alert that the seller ignored them, that should make their argument even more believable.
Tbh it really isn't, if anything it helps strengthen a case,
ignoring someone is basically an admission of guilt imo.
