Computer wont read HDD (encrypted)

Yo guys!
I scavanged a 1TB 2,5" HDD from a OLD DSTV (Sky box, in the UK) decoder.
The drive is used to store recored shows and shit.

I just want to use it for my other computer for mass storage.
The drive is obviously encrypted so that people cant take copyrighted material off of it and shit.

My pc detects it, but it doesnt show up in "my computer" it shows in bios, but i cannot format it.

How can i make this drive usable?
Somebody please help?
Try booting up with linux, and see if you can format it through the install menu of for example ubuntu...

GL
Does it show up in diskpart?

Type diskpart into cmd and then "list disk"

If it shows up there you can format and assign a letter to it.
I have luck with GParted live cd's. Give that a go.
aint my sig design skills sick?
