Alright so I started watching Unlimited Blade Works yesterday (I'm 2 episodes in so far) and I'm wondering, is the whole serie different from Fate/Stay Night, or are the only differences the ones included in the link below?

I know there's supposed to be more revelations about Shirou's past and destiny, but other than that, are the differences between the two series that big?

I watched Fate/Stay Night over a year ago I think so I don't remember how it looked like.

Leave him alone, he barely comes to this section. 🤣
On topic: there are many differences between F/SN and UBW, yes.
UBW is basically a "second route" if that makes any sense.

Spoiler (Click to View)Big Fate fan btw

The differences get much bigger as you get further into the series, because they are both based on different routes of the visual novel, with the beginning bits being more similar because they are both part of the common route.

Alright it seems like it answer my question, thank you everyone 🙂

Fate/Stay Night is a series made up of 3 parts. Fate/Stay Night:Fate , Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works , and Fate/Stay Night:Heavens Feel. There have been 2 anime adaptions of Fate/Stay Night thus far. One made by Studio DEEN which you should avoid at all costs and the amazing adaption by ufotable that you have just started. If you like the anime you should consider reading the visual novel! A more encompassing guide in the differences can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/seriesfaq-fate

since i cba to explain each route right now.

Thank you Kanade, I'll read the FAQ and see what it's all about 🙂 Funny thought I just finished watching Angel Beats 😝

You should definitely stick with it. Fate/Stay Night is definitely my favorite anime. The character development is just so great. I recommend both though.
