LuminosityLink MegaThread [All Features Covered][Tutorials]

Hello people of Hack Forums. Today I bring to you my mega-thread on LuminosityLink and its features! 🤝
The aim of this thread is to assist customers of Luminosity in any way possible. This is a huge task. I have covered all features on Luminosity in this guide. If i have missed something or if something updates please let me know!
I have also tried to include practical tutorials/guides on many features. If you would like more documentation on a feature let me know and I’ll get to work! I have included pictures in almost every heading. I have put them all in /spoilers to save a heap of space and make the thread easier to read.
If you have any questions or suggestions for the thread please do contact me via PMs or Skype. I will constantly be looking to update and improve this thread.
Below are the products that I recommend and will be using in this thread:

LuminosityLink has a HUGE dedicated support team. The best way to get in contact with us is to join the 'LuminosityLink Customer Support' Skype group. You can do so by pasting the following text into a Skype chat and clicking on it. Please note this has to be clicked on from within Skype! If the code isn't working please contact me ASAP and I will update it. We have to constantly change it due to immature 11yr olds who think they know my IP. Please excuse them if you encounter one in the group, they mostly have family issues.

This Skype group aims to provide an active and friendly approach to support. There are members of the support team online 24/7 in the group, as well as other customers willing to help others. If you need quick help this is the way to get it! Let's try to stay on topic when in the group. Its a support group, not a lounge.
SECURITY NOTE: I wish I didn't have to say something like this, but do NOT accept files from anyone that is not on the support group. If you are unsure please PM the support member on Hack Forums to confirm he/she is a support member. If you feel a support member has tried to infect you please contact KFC or myself immediately and we will remove him from the team. Getting started:

====DNS
A DNS, also known as a Domain Name System, is the equivalent of an internet phone book. It is a domain name that links to your IP. It is highly recommended that you use a DNS while RATing, since you are able to update the IP that the DNS is routing to easily. If you do not use one you will be unable to ever get back clients if your IP changes.
==Recommendations:
  • I would personally recommend ChangeIP (LINK HERE). They provide an easy to use web panel.
  • Although I have not use it, FreeDNS (LINK HERE) is also a very valid option.
  • It is also possible to make your OWN DNS. Follow this tutorial (LINK HERE) on how to do this.
====Setting Up Your DNS
==What you will need: ==Making a ChangeIP account and configuring your DNS.
I personally recommend and use ChangeIP. Below I will go through how to make an account with them and how to make it forward to your IP.

Go to the ChangeIP Register Page . Input your details. I do not recommend using your real name.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Once you’ve done all that click on the 'Click To Continue' button. You will be brought to the client area. On the right hand side under 'Quick Navigation' click on 'DNS Manager' OR go to this link when signed in. Once you are there will see the DNS Manager screen. At the bottom you will see an 'Add free domain'. Fill out the textbox with your desired DNS and then click 'Add Domain'. You can choose from several domains in the drop down menu.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Once you have click on the button, you will be brought to a shopping cart page. Simply confirm you have chosen what you want then click on 'Checkout'. You will sometimes have to click on checkout twice (bug on the site). After that you will see a 'Review & Checkout' page. Make sure you have everything correct (don’t need to enter personal details), click on 'I have read and agree to the Terms of Service' and then click 'Complete Order'. You will then be shown a 'Order Confirmation' page.
Spoiler (Click to View)
That’s it. Now go back to your DNS Manager Page and you will see your domain there. Click on your domain and you will get sent to a screen that looks like this:
Spoiler (Click to View)
The IP that you had while creating the DNS will automatically be in place. If you were not on your desired and portforwarded VPN while setting up the DNS simply click on the IPs and change them to the IP of the VPN (NOT the internal IP, Your actual IP when connected to the VPN). Click 'Save' and your good to go.
==Testing your DNS
Now go to LuminosityLink and click on 'Port Management' in the bottom center. On the right hand side of the page you will see a 'Hostname/DNS Test' box. Enter in your DNS and press 'Test'. If your DNS is configured correctly it should popup with the following message box.
Spoiler (Click to View)
That’s it! Your DNS is all configured and ready to go! If you got a message box other then the one above please go to your DNS manager and make sure the IPs are the same as your current IP. Go to google and type in 'whats my ip' if you are unsure of your IP.
====Port Forwarding
Portforwarding is essential in all RATs, apart from botnets and PHP rats. Portforwarding allows remote connections to communicate with you. I would highly recommend Portforwarding on a VPN service, as it adds another layer of security, as well as simplifying the port forwarding process.
==Recommendations:
I highly recommend using RA4WVPN to port forward. It’s simple and easy to use, with heaps of locations worldwide.
Please note that 4digit ports might not work. I recommend using a 5digit port.

====Setting Up Your Port Forwards
==What you will need:
  • LuminosityLink
  • A VPN that allows portforwarding. I recommend RA4WVPN. I will be using this VPN in this tutorial.
  • CMD
  • A number somewhere between 10,000 and 99,999. For guaranteed success we will be using a 5digit port. Ports under that number tend to not work.
==Choosing Your VPN server
Choosing your VPN server matters. Depending on the location of the server, you could be getting anywhere from 1mb/s to 100kb/s download. I recommend picking the server that is closest to you. For me that is the Australian server.
Spoiler (Click to View)
==Picking and forwarding your port
Once connected to the VPN server that you wish to use. Open up CMD and type in 'ipconfig'. You will see a bunch of information come up. Scroll to the top and look for 'IPv4 Address' It should be under the first heading. It will look something like 10.8.0.. You will need this number later, so write it down somewhere.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Next go to https://ra4wvpn.com/index and sign in on the top right. Once you are logged in click on the orange arrow at the top. You will see a menu like this.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Click on the ports tab. You will be greeted with an 'Open & Close Ports' page. Enter your server and port. Your internal IP is that 10.8.0.
number that we got before. The finished form should look like this.
Spoiler (Click to View)
==Configuring Luminosity
Simply click Submit and you should be all good to go. Now go into LuminosityLink and click on the 'Port Management' tab in the bottom centre of the window. Right click in the 'Listen on Ports box and click 'Add Port'. Enter your port number and press OK.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Now press 'Start Listening' at the bottom of the ports box. The 'Start Listening' button should become greyed out and the 'Stop Listening' button should become red (don't click it).
Spoiler (Click to View)
==Testing your port
Once you have completed all the above steps. All you need to do now is make sure the port is open. Make sure LuminosityLink is listening to the correct port and is indeed listening to it, then go to canyouseeme.org. Enter in your port and click on 'Check Port'. If your port is open and being listened to you will get a Success message. If you do not get this message and you get a error. Please repeat all the steps above and try again.
Spoiler (Click to View)
That’s it! Your port is now open and ready to use.
Understanding and using the Machine List
====Client Sorting/Information
You can sort your online and offline clients with several categories. Below is a list of all the groups you can sort them by and what they mean.
==Client ID: What you build a client you will have an option to set the Client Build ID. It is by default set to 'HOME' but you can change it to anything.
==Version: Every time Luminosity releases an update the version changes. You should generally try to update all your clients as soon as an update comes out to avoid detection and to use the updated features.
==Location: This displays the country where the client lives. IT will display a two digit abbreviation of the country. It will sort it alphanumerically. You can view the full country name in the client manager, I will cover that soon.
==IP Address: Pretty useless to sort by this. IT just sorts them numerically by their current IP address.
==Machine Name: This is the name that the client gives itself when they set up windows or set up their user account.
==Operating System: If you don’t know what a OS is you should not be reading this. This displays/sorts the clients from the OS. (Win XP/Vista/7/8/RT/10)

==CPUs: This will sort/display the amount of CPU cores that the client has. This is a good indicator of the power of the infected machine.
==First Seen: This will sort/display the first time the client was seen on your panel. Please not that this will not be able to tell if your client connects when you have Luminosity closed/
==Last Seen: This is good for sorting offline clients, as it will display the current active window if the client is online. It displays/sorts when the last client was seen online. This cannot tell if when a client disconnects if Luminosity is not open.
==To sort your online/offline clients, simply click on the header bar of the category that you want to sort them by.
====Right Click Client Menu/Options
When you right click on an online or offline client you will be displayed with a menu of commands that you can use. I will go over what each one of them does here.

Command and Control
This is where most the features of Luminosity are located. I will go in detail as to what each function does, as well as how to use it and practical functions for several features. If you would like me to make a tutorial on any specified feature please let me know and i will include one. If you have made a tutorial and would like it mentioned here, PM me the thread link and i will link it under the appropriate feature and credit you.
==Client Grid:
This page displays mass information of all online and offline clients. To refresh this click on 'Refresh Client Grid' in the top right. You can also delete clients who have not been online for a set amount of time using this page.
==File Guard:
This feature allows you to add files to your clients. You can add the files when the client first connects. The files in this feature will not get removed by the malware cleaner. You can also encrypt your files in several different ways using this. For more information please go HERE: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4814555
==Crypto Miner:
This feature allows you to mine for 'crypto currencies'. This include Bitcoins, Omnicoins, Litecoins, Dogecoins and heaps more. As this is a very advanced feature that many people struggle with, I will include several tutorials below.
How to use the Crypto Miner to mine for LITECOINS (Click to View)
How to use the Crypto Miner to mine for OMNICOINS (Click to View)
==DDoS Panel:
This feature allows you to use your infected machines to DDoS a desired IP. There are multiple different methods available for you to use. These are the methods and what they should be used for.
====UDP:
======Description: This attack sends a shit ton of UDP (User Datagram Protocol) packets to random ports, causing the host to put all resources into checking that port. Very effective for home connections.
======Uses: Home computers.
======Formatting: IP in target. Unless otherwise, put PORT:80
====Condis:
======Description: Rapid connect/disconnect. Sends heaps of small TCP packets.
======Uses: Game Servers, TeamSpeak Servers, Web Servers and other hosting.
======Formatting: IP in target. Unless otherwise, put PORT:80
====HTTP GET:
======Description: This is a standard DDoS method. It sends HTTP GET requests to a server in order to overload it and consume all resources so that others cannot access it.
======Uses: Web servers.
======Formatting: Put the url in the target. Include http://
====HTTP POST:
======Description: Same as HTTP GET, only this one sends HTTP POST packets. It is designed to consume all web server resources so that other, legitimate connections, are unable to access it.
======Uses: Web servers.
======Formatting: Put the url in the target. Include http://
====Slowloris:
======Description: Slowloris opens multiple connections to a target webserver, and leave those connections open. Its very effective.
======Uses: Websites.
======Formatting: Put host in target. For example google.com
====ARME:
======Description: This attack is designed for Apache Web Servers. It is very powerful.
======Uses: Apache Web Servers
======Formatting: Put host in target. For example google.com
====HTTP TIMEOUT:
======Description: This method sends thousands on GET requests to a webserver and never completes them, causing all system resources to be used trying to finish the requests.
======Uses: Websites.
======Formatting: Put host in target. For example google.com
====BW FLOOD:
======Description: This method floods files on a website, making them unusable/un-downloadable. Very useful and powerful.
======Uses: Files on web servers.
======Formatting: Put the file URL in target. For example https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/...212x56.png (that will target the paypal logo[this is a example, dont target that -.-])
==HOST Editor:
This feature allows you to redirect traffic on the infected machine. For example you can make www.paypal.com redirect to www.fraudsite.com. Pretty simple yet advanced feature.
==Website Visitor:
This feature allows you to force all your clients to view a specified website. For some reason this seems to cause a lot of issues with people not knowing what the options do. Below i will cover what each one does.
====Website URL: This is where you put the website you want to view. Nothing fancy happening here.
====Visible - Default Browser: This will open the specified URL in the default browser on the clients machine.
====Hidden - Internet Explorer: This opens the specified URL in a hidden internet explored window. Keep in mind the client can still hear the website, unless you mute the website. More on that below.
====Hidden - WebBrowser Control: This opens the specified URL in a hidden browser. Audio still plays unless you mute the machine.
====Hidden - WebClient Control: This opens the specified URL in a hidden browser. Audio still plays unless you mute the machine.
==Client Information:
This Page is useful for many tasks. You can get bulk information about your clients here. These are the topics you can get information on.
====Network Speed Test: This will test the upload and download speed of your clients.
====CPU: This will show all the CPUs that your slaves have. Good for getting a idea on how powerful mining will be.
====GPU: This will show all the GPUs that your slaves have. Good for getting a generalized idea on how powerful your slaves are.
====RAM: This will display how many Gbs of ram your slaves have installed in their system.
====Security Information: This will display the Antivirus and Firewall software installed on your slaves. This is good for seeing how FUD your stub is and how long it lasts on clients with antivirus.
====Uptime: This shows how long each slave has been online for. Not really any uses for this, just a cool feature to have.
====Active Window: This shows you what window each of your slaves has open. Again, this has several uses and is a generally cool feature.
====Client File Location: This displays where your stub is installed on the slave. Another small feature that a few customers will love.
====Full OS Information: This gives you information on what Operating System is installed on each of your slaves.
==Torrent Seeder:
This feature allows your clients with installed supported torrent applications to seed a torrent of your choice. Personally this feature needs a massive revamp, so I won’t be covering much of it here yet. I will include a tutorial on how to use this in the future. If someone wants to write one and send it to me a will happily include it.
==HTTP Control:
This is one of the most unique features that Luminosity has. It is incredibly powerful and little people know/use it. It allows you to execute commands on your clients through webpages. This include anything from Twitter to Reddit to pastebin. Anything you can edit on the fly. I highly recommend that all people with valuable slaves or with high numbers of slaves should use this. KFC Watermelon has already made a comprehencive tutorial on HTTP Control, you can find the tutorial Here
==On-Join
On-Join commands allow you to automatically complete tasks on clients when they connect. You can do dozens of commands, so I will go into each one in detail below. Remember you can make all System Functions from the Miscellaneous menu On-Join commands as well. I will not be covering those here as I have already done them.
You can choose to run the online command on a specified number of clients. You can also choose to restrict it to certain client names, Build IDs and versions. Below is what each function from the drop down menu does.
====Download and Execute: This feature will download a file of your choice on your client(s) when they connect. This has several uses, especially if you have different build ids.
====Update Backup DNS: This changes the backup DNS to a specified one. I personally rotate backup DNS's every few week or so. This feature is quite useful for that.
====Search SmartLogger Logs: This searches the keylogs of all clients for a keyword. Handy feature to have.
====Run Hard Malware Cleaner: This will run the hard malware cleaner on all clients when they join. I recommend using this as a bot-kill feature.
====Start SOCKS Server: This will automatically start a SOCKS proxy server on the client when they join. This is another small feature that some people will love.
====Recover Passwords: This will recover the passwords of clients on-join. Password recovery is done automatically by default. You can also set this up so that it will only recover passwords from certain Build-IDs
====Recover Email Passwords: This will recover the email passwords of clients on-join. This is normally don’t automatically, so this is only useful if you only wish to recover the passwords from certain Build-IDs.
====Uninstall: Do not know why anyone would want to use it, but its here. This automatically removes the client from Luminosity when they join.
==Anti-Malware
This feature is very underestimated. This is the 'botkiller' of Luminosity. Below i will show you how to use this feature to kill Antivirus software. The Antimalware suite in Luminosity is very powerful. Below is how you can use it to kill Antivirus software! (Thanks to BahNahNah for the original tut)
====Go to 'Anti-Malware' in the 'Command and Control' tab. Copy the below text to your clipboard by highlighting it and pressing Ctrl+C.
Antivirus List (Click to View)
====Right click, go to 'Import Items' then 'From Clipboard'.
====Once you have done that you should have a large list of processes. Click 'Save Config' and your good to go.
====Please feel free to PM me if i have missed any antivirus's in this list. I will happily add any others to it.

==SOCKS 5:
This is the panel for the SOCKS 5 proxy. A SOCKS server is a general purpose proxy server that establishes a TCP connection to another server on behalf of a client, then routes all the traffic back and forth between the client and the server. It works for any kind of network protocol on any port.
Here you can see the clients that have a SOCKS 5 server established on them, The IP of that client, the country that client is located in, the SOCKS 5 IP:Port, the clients download speed and the Ping of the client.

Station configuration
==SmartLogger:
SmartLogger is a very unique feature of Luminosity. It allows you to save keylogs from windows with certain keywords in them. For example, if you set SmartLogger to capture all windows with 'mail' in their title, and save the log as 'mail', the SmartLogger will log all keystrokes entered in windows with 'mail' in their title to mail.log. You can find the SmartLogger logs under 'Saved Data' in the client manager. Using the SmartLogger does not prevent Luminosity from logging all other keystrokes.
==File Searcher:
File Searcher is a very under-estimated feature of LuminosityLink. It allows you to automatically grab files from a machine and add those file to the file queue.I will use steam files as examples in the settings below.
====Filename (Include Extension!): This is the name of the file that you can’t to pull from the computer. For example, if we wanted to take the 'SteamAppData.vdf' file we would put that in this text box.
====Exact Term: This will determine whether or not the File Searcher will look for the exact file that you specify. For example, if we wanted to take the 'ssfn' files from a clients computer. We would put 'ssfn' into the 'Filename' box and disable 'Exact Term'. This will mean that all files with ssfn in their name will be pulled. You can change the location it looks for the files below.
====Search Location: This determines where the File Searcher will look for the specified file. If we wanted to take a file with the exact name of 'SteamAppData.vdf' it would be a good idea to set this to 'Everywhere', since there will only be one or two files with that name on the clients machine. If are looking to get, for example, thessfn files from steam, you can change the custom directory to steam.exe, and the File Searcher will look in the 'steam.exe' directory for the specified file.
==Client Network Control:
The 'Client Network Control' panel allows you to manually enable/disable certain features on your clients. This is for advanced users only, I recommend not touching these unless you really need to. Below is what each option does.
====Client Defense System: This manually enables/disables the client defence system on your clients. Disabling this means that Luminosity can by easily killed and removed on the infected machine. Unless you really need to, there shouldn’t be a reason to disable this. If you need to remove the rootkit from a single install I recommend making a new stub with it disabled and updating the client to that version.
====Power Management System: This prevents the infected machines from going into 'sleep' mode. I personally dislike this feature and tend to keep it disabled as it raises suspicion on computers, especially high end machines with noisy fans.
====Proactive Anti-Malware: This enables/disables the 'Proactive Anti-Malware' module on your clients. If you are using Anti-Malware to prevent Antivirus installation this must to enabled. You can disable this per client by right clicking on them, going to Anti-Malware and then clicking on 'Disable Proactive Anti-Malware'.
====File System Shield: This manually enables/disables the 'File System Shield' on all your clients. I highly recommend keeping this enabled, especially if you are using 'File Guard'.
====Client Logging System: This enables/disables all client logging. This includes error/general logging, keylogging and download logging. I highly recommend keeping this enabled, as it helps to resolve errors.
====Auto Config Update: This automatically updates your client config. I recommend keeping this enabled, not really any reasons to disable it.
==Server Configuration:
These settings determine certain advanced features of Luminosity. I generally would advise that people stay away from these, unless advised from the support team or KFC. Ill list what each option does below.
====Kill Unknown Connections: If a foreign connections is created to Luminosity, it kills it after 60 seconds. This means when you do CanYouSeeMe.org, and it connects to Luminosity, it terminates the connection. It basically makes it so clients connect properly. I recommend keeping this enabled.
====Disconnect on Client Error: This will disconnect a client if it runs into a fatal error.
====Ping/Pong System: Ill let KFC explain this one.
Quote: 1. It "Pings" all your online clients to ensure they are actually online. It helps to ensure your clients haven't unexpectedly disconnected
2. It updates your Machine List and the last online/last seen of all clients, as well as saving bots.dat.

Disabling it can seriously improve performance if you have a lot of clients, at a sacrifice.
====Auto Grab Queued Files: I personally use this for steam stealing. IT automatically downloads files that are in the file queue.
====Reconnect All Clients: This will reconnect all clients. This will NOT result in a client being removed.
====Shutdown Luminosity: This literally just closes Luminosity. Same as clicking the ‘x’ button.
==Password Recovery
This panel operates the Password Recovery feature of Luminosity. I recommend you stay away from unless you have having issues with password recovery. You can test and reset your Password Recovery. To stop Luminositys stub from being too big, Luminosity automatically downloads the Password Recovery application when the stub is first launched. Below is what each option does.
====Auto Recover Passwords from New Machines: This will automatically recover passwords when a client installs your stub. For all intensive purposes I wouldn’t touch this.
====Password Recovery Application Download URL: This is the link that that Password Recovery Application is automatically downloaded from. Unless you really know what you are doing, do not touch this.
====Reset URL: This will reset the URL used for downloading the recovery application
====Download File: This will download the password recovery application on your computer. This is only for advanced users, I wouldn’t recommend messing around with this.
====Test File: This will test the password recovery application on your computer. If you notice that clients are not recovering passwords I recommend using this to test.
====Recover Passwords: This will manually recover all passwords from all online clients. Not much else to say here.
====Get Queued Files: Not sure why this is in the 'Password Recovery' section. Anyways, it will manually download all files in the file queue to your computer.
==Save Config
If you make any changes to this page be sure to click this button. IT will save all the changes that you have made. If you have 'Auto Config Update' enabled it will automatically update your config as well.

Saved Data
This is where all data saved from your clients will be stored/displayed. You can view all recovered passwords, emails and OS serials here, as well as queued files. This information is also saved locally to a .txt file. Below is what all the options do.
==Displayed:
====Client: This will display what client the data is from.
====Filename/Website Name/SmartLogger String: This will display the Filename, Website Address or SmartLogger string associated with the saved information.
====Data Gathered: This is where the juicy information is displayed. Not much else to say about this.
====Date: This will display the date that the information was recovered from the clients machine.
==Right-click Menu:
====Select Client: This will select the client that the data was recovered from in the 'Machine List'.
====Open File/Website: This will open the file or website in the default application on your computer.
====View Directory: This will open the directory at where the data is saved on your machine.
====Copy to Clipboard: This will save the specified data to your clipboard. Use Ctrl+v or 'paste' to put the information down. Below is the criteria that you can copy it by.
======Client Name: This will copy all data recovered from a specific client.
======Website/Filename: This will copy all information from the same website or with the same file name.
======Data Gathered: This will copy all data gathered at the same time as the selected entry.
======Login Details: This will copy the login details (Data Gathered) from the selected entry.
======Username: This will copy the username of the selected entry.
======Password: This will copy the password of the selected entry.
======Date: This will copy all information gathered on the same date as the selected data entry.
====Delete File: This will delete the file from the clients computer. This if for the File Queue.
====Export Passwords: This will mass export all the gathered data to a .txt file. Below are the criteria that you can export by.
======All Passwords: This will export all passwords ever gathered by Luminosity.
======By Website: This will export all logins for the selected website.
======By Client ID: This will export all passwords from the selected client.
======By Username/Password: This will export all accounts with the same username or password.
====Get Latest Data: This will send a request to update all the data of online clients. I recommend doing this if you are exporting your passwords.
====Refresh List: You MUST use this if you wish to refresh the data. If you are not getting data from new clients, and have not refreshed the page that is most likely the reason.

Server Management
==Downloads
This shows all files that have been downloaded off your slaves, as well as showing all files in your file queue.
==Connection
This is where you can configure your ports, test your DNS and ports and configure a few connection options. Below is what the settings/options do.
====Listen on Ports: This is where you can configure that ports Luminosity listens on. You can configure multiple ports, although I would recommend sticking to the one port.
======Start Listening: This will start listening on the specified ports.
======Stop Listening: This will stop listening on the specified ports.
====Configuration: Here you can configure several options regarding server/client connection.
======Auto Listen on Application Start: I recommend selecting this, as it cause Luminosity to automatically listen on the specified ports when the application is started.
======New Client Notification: This will display a notification on your desktop when a new client comes online. If you manage large amounts of bots i recommend disabling this, as it can get quite spammy.
======Count Total Connections: This will count all connections associated with a specific port. Not much reason to enable this, unless advised to.
======Disable Animations: I HIGHLY recommend enabling this. IF you leave this enabled you might/will have issues with lag. Especially on lower-end machines.
====Hostname/DNS Test - Does your DNS resolve to your IP?!: This is where you can test whether or not your DNS is resolving to your current IP successfully. I highly recommend doing this every time you make a new DNS and/or have no clients online, when you should. The settings here are pretty self-explanatory. I wont go into detail about them. IF you have any issues with your DNS i recommend using ChangeIP and following the tutorial included in this thread.

This page also include information about the Luminosity support pages, as well as tips and tricks for Port Forwarding. I highly recommend you read it all.
==Client Builder
This is where most people have issues. Building their 'stub'. Below is what each option does, i highly recommend you read this and get a good understanding on each option on this page.
====Hostname: This is where you would put your DNS/Backup DNS. A tutorial on how to set up your DNS using ChangeIP is included on this thread. I highly recommend setting up a backup DNS in case your main one gets taken down or lost. Click on 'Test' to make sure your DNS is valid.
====Client Installation: The Client Installation module allows Luminosity to start on the target computer when the computer starts up. It is highly recommended that you use this as 'Update' and 'Anti-Malware' rely on it. I believe future updates aim to allow crypters start up to be used instead. Below are the options for this header.
======Enable Installation/Start up: This disabled/enables the installation module in Luminosity. Read above for more info on it.
======File Name: This is the name that the client is installed by. For example virus.exe.
======Start-up Name: This is the name that Luminosity will appear by in msconfig or other startup managers.
======Anti-VM: This prevents Luminosity from being run in a virtualized environment. This includes Virtual Machines (such as VMware and VirtualBox) and Sandboxie. I highly recommend keeping this enabled.
======Melt: If Luminositys startup is used and successful, the original file will be deleted.
====Client Build ID: This is the build ID of the output stub. All clients connected using that stub will be associated with this ID. This is very helpful for sorting and keeping track of your installs.
====Port: This is where you enter your Port Forwarded port. The 'Check' button will open canyouseeme.org where you can check if the port is open. Make sure to be listening to the port before checking it.
====Client Configuration Options: These are all the features that are included on the built stub. Depending on your uses you might enable/disable some features. Below is what each feature is/does.
======Enable Ring3 Rootkit and Process Monitor: The Ring3 Rootkit injects into all 32-bit processes and hooks NtQuerySystemInformation to help hide Luminosity's process. In addition, the rootkit monitors Luminosity and restarts it if killed.
======Proactive Anti-malware (Real Time Monitor): This enables the anti-malware feature on the stub. This feature can also be utilised to kill anti-virus programs as well. Most people will use this feature as a 'botkiller'
======Power Management System (Stops Sleep): This is a interesting one, this feature will prevent a computer from going to sleep. Instead it will turn off the monitor and trick the target into thinking the computer is off. Please note that this does not turn off computer fans, so depending on the computer this might not work the way its designed to.
======File System Shield (Anti-Malware Blacklist): This feature will only do something if you use anti-malware. IT will prevent certain files/process from being killed by Luminosity. This is a useful feature if you are installing Luminosity through another RAT. Files that are install onjoin are automatically excluded from antimalware.
======Client Logging System (Logs Data): Logs data from the client. Thsi includes errors and such. I highly recommend enabling this.
======Create App.Config file (.NET 4.5 Support): This is only needed if you are executing the file on system that only has .NET 4.5 installed. Depending on your target you might or might not need this. I will be using it in my spreading guide later on in this thread.
====Enable Silent Mode (No visible window): Unless you want your client to be able to uninstall Luminosity with a click of a button you will need to keep this enabled. Disable it if you are testing.
======Silent Mode: This starts Luminosity with/without a visible window. Unless testing, keep this enabled unless you want your client to be able to uninstall Luminosity with a click of a button.
==General, File, AM and Error Logs
This is where everything is documented. File downloads, miner errors, password recover failures and heaps more is logged here. If you are having a issue with a certain feature please check these tabs first. If you’re getting a error and want help/support on it, please right click on the error and click on 'Copy Log' and send it to the support members or KFC. It helps us diagnose issues a lot easier.
Thank you all for reading this. I hope it helps a lot of users. If there are any errors please PM me them. ']post the on the thread. If you have made a tutorial for Luminosity please fell free to PM me the link and i will include it in the tutorials list below.
