[Extract Exif Data]How to find out exact coordinates of a picture | OPT-OUT Method

This is a very simple tutorial, yet very efficient to find out information based on a photo. This will work on any photo that has gps information attached. It will consist of a few steps.

First step, you will want to visit the site http://geoimgr.com/

Second step, you will want to get a photo, and upload it to the site above. You can now zoom in, using the map there, or move onto another page as listed below.

Now you have the coordinates and you can input the coordinates into google maps. (optional)

Now you have the exact location. This is the simplest way to do it, in a short explanation you can also:
Right Click Photo -> Properties -> Details -> Under GPS Information you have latitude & longitude.

This works best with photos taken from Iphones/Androids, as GPS info is embedded into the photo. (unless requested not to)

Using an android/iphone, this will show you how to opt-out of the gps information.

This is very helpful thanks
I have this in my large guide but MAT is amazing for dealing with metadata as well.

Yeah, but most websites like popular social media sites like facebook, twitter, instagram, imgur strip all meta data in picture. I wish someone would start a list of places where they don't strip meta data. That would be nice to see.

Yes, it is. I find geoimgr, to be fairly simple enough for the average user, and very efficient.

I'll continue with some tutorials.
Putting this to the top, been a while.
I never thought about this. Very nice tutorial.
Bringing this to the top, in case anyone needed help. Expect more tutorials soon
Thanks, works great but just wondering if there is any known places that don't strip meta data?
