After finishing Log Horizon i've been looking for what to watch next.

Now just a minute ago I stumbeled onto a very -ahum- nice picture of Seras Victoria (The police girl from Hellsing: Ultimate)

which reminded me how extremely well dubbed the was, with all characters having accents matching to their place of birth and social class.

Does anyone of you know any other anime with equally fantastic dubbing?


also, how do you guys stand on watching dubbed versions?

Steins;Gate, Spice and Wolf, SAO(?), and Howls Moving Castle(I mean an anime that has Christian Bale aka Dark Knight trilogy Batman as a VA, has to be good, and it was), but I know one dub that is just horrible and thats the infamous tear jerker Clannad

And it's anime not animes, ahh, haha

FullMetal Alchemist and Brotherhood both had godly dub in my opinion, Same with Fate/Zero

@Rainbow, I agree Clannad and Steins;Gate also had really good Dubbed. Wouldnt want to watch those in sub xD

Are you saying that Clannad had a good dub? That is literally the worst dub I've ever heard, there is barely any emotion in the way they speak so they sound like the really don't give a fuck

Hellsing ultimate had too much kiddy stuff, I'm not sure what the term is for it. But Hellsing had none of that, both plots were kind of iffy towards the endings but the original definitely was better by a long shot IMO. I remember the dubs having the same voice actors despite being like 10 years apart, so yeah hellsing is pretty good dub.

There is a ton of good dubbed animes tbh, most notably One Piece.

Oh please, don't lie to your self on the assumption I was told this. I've been watching one piece since before the current dub cast actually got started and all we had was 4kids. I remember when they were dubbing Skypia and having to go back and dub all the previous episodes, which that did a terrific job at.

If you want to argue One Piece is not a notable dub, if not the most then give me proof. Give me a video sample of the current Hachi voice actor and tell me how hes bad, or how the starfish guy's voice actor is bad. Those are really the only two "bad" voice actors and hachi's has actually done a really fucking good job at being on point with the original hachi voice actor and the japanese actors.

Not considering those two faults, every single voice actor in one piece is great. Go watch the Walk to Arlong park in Dub, Go watch the straw hats declare war on the world government and Robin say she wants to live. Go watch DR Quack's final speech in Dub at drumisland. All of which are extraordinary examples of One Piece's terrific dub. Each of which I teared up watching, and definitely was a lot more into than when it was Subbed.

Also not to even MENTION the laughs, Blackbeard's laugh was fucked at first yeah and still is IMO but look at Arlong, his voice actor was so on point same with all the other fishmen. And mihawk, shanks, all of which voices fit their character drawings so fucking good. One Piece is the definition of a good dubbed anime.

I don't think anyone else besides the OP staff could have pulled this off as nicely, there is a lot better examples but this is a good one that I found on YT.

Spice and Wolf dub is more notable because the girl who played Holo did and amazing job so yea, and Steins;Gate dub is pretty good as well

Ok next time I want to try dubs, I'll make sure it's an anime I've never watched in subs so that I can possibly watch one episode.

Lol maybe thats just how you feel, I didnt think it was too bad xD There are a lot more good anime with dub, those were just the few I could think up off the top of my head 🤝

Agreed. Steins;Gate and Spice & Wolf's dub were fantastic. Probably my favorites to be honest.

Elfen Lied, Death Note, and Cowboy Bebop's dubs were all great as well.

Death Note's dub was terrible. The voices didn't match the characters at all. Hadn't watched the others.

OT: Naruto and Pokemon were good when I was six. Haven't watched anything dubbed since. Except for Soul Eater. That was a great dub.
