Code[a]Cademy Releases Java

Codecademy/Codeacademy, whatever you want to call it, has a Java course.

Moving on in life in such a way that doesn't include HF. HF allowed me to get into the security field and peaked my interest: I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and encouragement. If for some reason you have a means to message me outside HF, feel free to, but I won't be coming back.
It's definitely not the best out there for learning. They barely touch data structures and what they do touch on is just adding and looping.
Personally I wouldn't recommend it for people learning and would instead direct them to the oracle tutorials.
yea so general omni decided its cool to remove months of my -3's so if i gave u one plez remind me on my monthly scheduled visit so i can replace it ty

It's a relatively new course - came out not too long ago. It's a basic beginner's course to get your feet in the water. 🤝

Yep. Made a thread on this a couple weeks ago.
Although CodeAcademy has some good courses, I really don't like this one.
There's few opportunities over the whole course to actually write your own code as the lessons either tell you exactly what to write or heavily hold your hand in writing it.
There's many much better tutorials for getting your feet wet with Java.

Oh sorry! I don't frequent this section, must have missed it.

Yeah! :) I most totally agree. I just wanted to post it for anyone who may be interested.

Of course, this is at the very least a good refresher for someone who hasn't programmed in a while.

I wish you could review a course at the end of it, so I could tell the CodeAcademy people my thoughts.

I think they have a community forum in which you can do just that. :)

Thanks, I'll take a look at it.
It is better to read a book and to go out and do it yourself rather then get involved in learning establishments prioritizing in coding.

You have to go and do it yourself not follow instructions and pass a test.
i think this site is useful for people who want to learn the basics of each language but it doesn't teach you everything. The html section doesn't even teach you the meta tag.
Very basic and not very informative by the looks of it.
