How can you day trade Bitcoin? Confused

Hello everyone, I have been thinking about this for a couple of days not and I still do not understand how someone could day trade bit coins. This is how my mindset goes (tell me if it is right or wrong). Following numbers are random
1)Lets say I purchase 2 bitcoins for 200$ each. 400$ total investment
2) The next day bitcoin is up to $240 each So I decide to sell $480
3) Total profit for the day is 80

However now I have 0 bit coin an extra 80 but bit coin is a higher price than what I started buying it at putting me at a greater risk or buying and it dropping.

I don't understand how you can buy and sell a single thing. I understand the stock market works because there are uncountable stocks you can buy from. However with bitcoin its only a single thing you can buy and sell....

So confused someone please explain to me how this works.

Thanks!
All you need to understand is the basics of supply and demand.
You want to buy something you need someone willing to sell it.
You want to sell something you need someone willing to buy it.

Simple as that, Bitcoin is an investment, day to day trading isn't very profitable as you won't make that much and it's not worth the time really. Most people buy it and hold onto it
I know there is a site where you can pay on if the rate will go up or down at the finish of the day compared to the start. Idk the name tho
