Tips to recognize Fake Facebook Accounts
1) Wait for 1st January:
– This is kind of a Funny statement why would one wait for 1st January to recognize Fake Facebook Accounts. Well Fake Profile creators most probably enter their birthdays on 1st Jan while creating Fake account. So on 1st Jan, Facebook will Show people who have birthdays today i.e 1 Jan 2015. Go through that list and Unfriend them if you don’t know them Personally i.e Face to Face.
– On 1st Jan 2015, i was shocked to see 28 people Having their birthday, Guess what i performed the above Procedure.
2) Contact mobile number in Girls Profile
-Most of the fake profile will have its contact number in the info section of profile, but as you know hardly any girl give its phone number in the public, so the account must be fake.
3) Timeline:
–The Facebook timeline of a Facebook accounts says a lot about that Profile. Most Fake Profiles have “Female” as a gender, this doesn’t Mean all Facebook accounts with “Female” Genders are Fake, there are many other things to recognize Fake Facebook Account.
–The “About me” tab will Give you much more information about the Profile, if the “About” tab don’t show you any info about the persons profile then that’s a clear indication about Fake girl profile.
– If their photos album shows only 1 or 2 Pictures that too of random Celebrities then its obvious her profile is fake.
–If it’s one thing we know about people on Facebook, they tend to overindulge information if anything. Fake Facebook accounts on the other hand hardly ever update their status once you’ve accepted their friend request. Becoming your friend alone gives them limited access to your information, which they seek more than your friendship.
4) User Activities
-Have a look on the suspect activities, if the person is just going to add new friends and had no page liked or any joined group then it must be a fake account. As the user just want to add as many as friends to just increase its user to promote something later.

–First Thing we see about any Facebook account is their Profile Picture, If you Find any Facebook Account on your Friend list suspicious, first thing you will do is Use Reverse Image Search. This helps you find out if Similar Pictures are available on Internet. First Download the Profile Picture of the account you find suspicious
–Go to Google images Click on Camera icon which says Search by image > Click on Upload an Image, now choose the Picture you had downloaded earlier. Now go to that profile, right click on image and click on copy image URL >Now once the uploading Completes, google will show you Similar Images that already exist over internet. If search images does not matches profile picture then the profile is real and if it didn’t then consider it as a Fake profile.
–A girl Profile with Lots of Friends and Followers indicates a Fake Profile.
