Personally I think they both need a fair few adjustments!

But I'd say the one done by Chase seems more appealing. Regarding your one, The boarder is slightly too thick in diameter, and also the size of the banner along with the 2015 text placement seems high.

Chase's one also, the boarder is abit to much. Also the blending of the text, makes it a strain to read.

Fair effort though :)

Chase got my vote, both had interesting backgrounds but preferred Chase's typography and snow effect.
