Should I undo OverClock for BIOS update?

I need to update my motherboard from a.20 to a.40 and im just wondering if its safe to do it while overclocked.
I would personally. I know my MOBO says to turn off the OC if you do a bios on it

Doesn't matter. Not sure at what stage it happens, but a BIOS upgrade resets setting to stock (at least it is for me on an MSI mobo).

correct a BIOS update will reset to factory clocks, if you have the ability to save your overclocks to USB (MSI does from my experience) do that but afaik you will go back top stock.
