Nexus 6p root

Hey,
I've been trying to root the nexus 6p for a while and for some reason i can never get my google drivers installed. Is there any easier way to do this? I remember with my samsung galaxy s3 i just downloaded a apk and it rooted for me. Does this still exist with nexus 6p?
just lurkin thru
Installing the drivers is a straight forward procedure and I don't see how you could possibly not get your drivers installed. Either way please post in detail what's going wrong with the procedure. If you cannot get them to work I'd suggest you switch the process to another computer or laptop.

Unfortunately, there is no such method of simply downloading an .apk file and installing it to gain root that is available for Android 6.x devices.
The way you can go on about this is you first unlock your bootloader, then flash a custom boot.img file, then enter recovery and flash SuperSU. The boot.img file is based on your build number, which needs to be specific, so be careful.
If you're on the MDA89D build you must update to at least the MDB08K build first. If you're on the MDB08K build or higher you can proceed.
Let me know once you get the driver aspect working and I'll help you out with the rest of the process.
