Hi guys

so i have dumped a sql and i want to connect it from dbNinja on my remote PC

all i get is

Code

"Connection failed: MySQL server has gone away"

any issues for that? i know its max_allowed_packet, but i wont change it its not in my range, any ideas?

Very rarely will you be able to connect to a database remotely. Try to use HeidiSQL to make an authentication attempt towards the database. You can also scan the host on port 3306 to see the status of that port. Is there an error code or was it just that error?

That error, and the port 3306 is open

says that i have no permission to connect this MySQL from IP "MY PORXY IP ADDRESS HERE"

Its probably whitelisted so only they can access it, or it only accepts connections from localhost.
