ISP Limit Bypass

Just out of curiosity. Does anyone know of a way to bypass the ISP data limits. Vague question, I know.
But I'm pretty curious as I have used up my allocated data limit after which my ISP supposedly blocks internet usage. Navigating it on cached pages displays Firefox error below

Code
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to website. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

where as navigating to another website takes me to the ISP page to topup my account.

BUT
I can freely use utorrent to download files. Weird right? So I'm guessing there should be a way to use internet?

Anyone got any ideas?
If you can download files by utorrent, your isp is most likely blocking ports 80 and 443. I suggest you to use a vpn which use other ports, it can works.

But just a curious question : what is your ISP ? Because blocking ports when we are at the limit of the fair use, it's pretty bad for an isp.
Ah thought as much. Works nicely with a VPN now.

I live in Fiji so I doubt it'll do you any good.

If they blocked ports 80, and 443 he wouldn't be able to visit any sites in general... His ISP Wouldn't just block those connections. They would block his whole line if he reached the data limit. So it's probably some other issue.
Krebs is the hero HF needs!

Have you tried calling them up? Are you positive that it isn't an error on their part? If not, they're probably just blocking certain ports.
I'm curious though, If it is possible to bypass or "hack" the data limit/cap... I'm about to exceed my cap of 80GB And I don't want to suffer the consequences (getting put onto Dile-up Speeds: 7-8 KB/s)

The only way I know how to at least delay this demise is using a vpn with compression enabled and / or opera web-browser and their Turbo feature.

It's a misunderstanding, i wanted to say they "blocked" ports but they only do a redirection, but every request which is done on ports 80 and 443 are subjects to isp redirection.
I would love to have an ISP like this in order to bypass my 50MB restriction :)
