I just unbricked my ps3 today after 2 years and found it was on 4.55 ofw. I want to know if its possible to do with/without e3 flasher and if its even possible at all. I want to maybe get it on 4.55cfw or downgrade to 3.55cfw

No it is not possible to jailbreak a 4.55 OFW PS3 console. It is possible to flash if it's model is compatible with the E3 Flasher.

You can flash it down to 3.55 (if compatible) and go from there. I recommend buying a Professional Service on ps3hax.net to get it downgraded - cheaper than a flasher and a lot easier for you!

It's possible to use E3 Flasher if your model is compatible.

I bought an e3 flasher 2 days ago, it should either be coming tomorrow or the day after that. My model ps3 is able to be downgraded as i checked the charts. I already took apart my ps3 all the way .

Awesome bro. I remember when I downgraded my PS3 myself with my E3 Flasher, it took hours, I had the worst model to be doing it on though.

I thought e3 flasher only works if you actually had 3.55 on your ps3 before, and therefore "flashes" it back to 3.55. If you never did then you cannot do it.

That's wrong mate your system doesnt need to have 3.55 at one point to be downgraded
