I just finished watching every episode in order in a single go. Overall everything was A-grade in my book. The soundtrack was good and fit the environment well. The characters were varied and interesting (god dammit pino is cute). The art was good for it's time and the intro was pretty stellar.
I wish there were more mature anime like this one. One Man Punch is great for a laugh but aside from that I'm frankly sick of being drowned in a pool of mediocre shonen. I'd reccommend this to anyone who is in the same boat. What about you guys? What are your thought's on this show?
I remember seeing this aired on an unknown anime channel back in the USA around 10 years ago. I watched a decent bit of it but I can't say that I remember much. It has been on my watch list for sometime now though.
Also, if you want more mature anime, especially ones similar to Ergo Proxy, then I recommend checking out user recommendations via MyAnimeList. You can view anime that are similar to Ergo Proxy.

I personally recommend Ghost in the Shell if you haven't already seen it.

Good luck, modern anime is garbage.
Haven't seen it yet, but I added to my PTW list.

Ghost in the Shell is mid-way through my to-watch list. Any specific version that I should watch first?
I would watch "Ghost in the Shell" and "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" first before watching "Ghost in the Shell (2015)" and "Ghost in the Shell: Arise". The 2015 version and Arise are technically prequels to Ghost in the Shell but in terms of animation and release they are newer. So it might be weird transitioning from new animations to older animations first. I would refer to MyAnimeList for the correct ordering though.
You could also start on "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex". It's an alternate setting and also the most popular.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Ergo Proxy wasn't anything special, the plot was a real let down especially the ending.

But the build-up to the dissapointment was good and I enjoyed it a lot.
I'm pretty hesitant to watch this tbh, seems like I'll give it a try soon. If you want a mature anime then you are looking for Monster. (Urasawa Naoki's or whatever his/her name was)
Monster is definitely a masterpiece albeit a little slow.
