I know many users are contacting me with information on how Morchid's account was stolen, hacked or sold. While that might sound helpful it truthfully isn't. I don't care who did it or why. If there was a security breach that's on me then yeah, I'd want to know and figure out how to fix it. But I think this was a sold account. The 2FA was enabled but disabled. This either means he used a proxy/sock to login and disable it or his cookie session was shared or stolen.
But the "who" and "why" these things happen has never interested me. It doesn't help me resolve it. I'm not law enforcement (despite idiotic rumors) and it would be a waste of my time investigating anything more than the "how" aspect of these situations.
My main concern is fixing damage and working to prevent future situations of the same nature.
Right now it appears I'm having a slight issue in regards to moving the junked content to their correct forum category. There has been a bug with MyBB when it comes to logging certain moderator actions under certain circumstances. I haven't fixed it yet but I've known about it for a while. Started to happen when we upgraded to MyBB 1.6x. Tried fixing it once but wasn't able to complete it before being pulled in another direction and the bug was left to be fixed another day, and it was never fixed. So now I'm working to get the content sorted for the best recovery options.
Mentors do not have delete ability. The content is still on HF and recoverable. So don't worry yourself over it. I'm working on it. It will be fixed.
