[ANDROID] [WHATSAPP] Spoofing MAC/IMEI/... for Whatsapp

Hey guys

I am (and many others) are facing problems spoofing the MAC address for Whatsapp.
All the tutorials here and on the Web just won't work... when it comes to the "activation part" in Whatsapp and you activate it with the victims phone number and "spoofed MAC address", the "victim" phone gets a message like "You are running whatsapp on another phone, please re-authenticate *blablabla*" and that should just NOT happen.
It should run on two phones simultaneously!

(used an old rooted Galaxy S1 i9000 with Android 6.0 and 4.4 Cyanogenmod and busybox installed)
I've tried the busybox commands like
"iplink set wlan0 address XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" and
"iplink set wlan0 broadcast XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" OR
"busybox ifconfig wlan0 hw ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX"
... and all the "Mac Changer" Apps from the Playstore - but it just won't work

yes, the "iplink show wlan0" and the apps are telling you that the MAC has successfully changed, but thats not true...

If you have a look at Androids preferences, there is still the original mac shown, plus you can't connect to a WPA2 encrypted WIFI network... only unencrypted works.
The router on the unsecured WIFI shows the spoofed MAC address BUT if you do a network scan with any network scanner (like Fing, C-sploit,...) the real and not the spoofed MAC address of the device is shown.
Why is that?
Well, I believe the above terminal commands are just temporally AND only for apps and NOT a real hardware MAC change.

The only real hardware mac change methods I found in the net were
edit /data/misc/wifi/nvram.txt
edit data/.mac.info
but I found none of these files with Root-Explorer on Android 6.0 or 4.4...

Do you have or know any WORKING methods for permanent hardware MAC spoofing/changing?

This could be the reason why spoofing with Whatsapp just don't work...it's only a temporally software spoof...

Another idea is, that not only the MAC address is stored in the Whatsapp servers... also maybe other information like the IMEI (which should also be spoofed)... or something else?
Anyone got any ideas or a successfully whatsapp spoof in the last months?
Or any other methods... and i don't mean ridiculous expensive mspy accounts ;)
As far as I know, non of the actual rats are logging whatsapp...

Maybe together we can figure that out?

I don't know if the MAC address spoofing method still works. In fact, WhatsApp, as well as other similar messaging apps, may have further updated their authentication protocols. Therefore, even by implementing this method, the results will always and exclusively be negative. Instead of using BusyBox, you could opt for a more intuitive and less spartan application, such as ChameleMAC. This app works great, as long as your phone has a MediaTek processor integrated. If I'm not mistaken, it should be available on the Google PlayStore, as well as on other unofficial stores. In the past, I tested this application, experiencing its effectiveness. Obviously, I have never cloned a WhatsApp account and, if I have physical access to the target's device for a short time, I prefer to adopt another solution to violate the victim's profile, such as using WhatsApp Web or synchronizing the account on another mobile device. In any case, since I am also interested in the technique of MAC address falsification, I confidently await the opinion of an expert in the field of messaging app authentication protocols. As for the parameters WhatsApp uses to authenticate its users, I assume that it interfaces with the IMEI, which, as you rightly point out, can be subject to forgery, and the user ID.
