Why not crop the photo if you wanted only the doorway to be visible?
In my opinion, I think it would look nicer if you raised the exposure to have a bit of the wall lit up.

Nice long exposure shots on your flikr. I love IMG 6001. Great shot. I kind of agree, a better cropping and this photo overall is nice. I like it.

I like this. I think you could possibly lose some of the darkness/black space at the top, but overall it's nice, and draws your attention directly to the centre.
