Mac freezing up constantly, but only on OSX partition.

Long story short, my OSX partition lags beyond belief. It will work for a minute, then I'll get the spinning wheel and I'll have to wait at least a minute for all my keypresses and clicks to register. This happens in every application and the OS itself. However, I'm always still able to move the mouse.

This only happens on the OSX partition, I also have Windows 7 installed on a boot camp partition, and it doesn't freeze or lag at all.

Can someone explain what's going on and hopefully how to fix it?
Thanks guys.

Which Mac do you have? What version of OSX are you using?
if < El Capitan try to check and Repair Permissions via Disk utility or try reinstalling OSX with the Recovery (cmd+R) on boot.
It'll overwrite your OSX and will keep your personal data.
I have a MacBook Pro, I think it's 2012 but may be 2013. I currently have El Capitan installed. I already tried reinstalling OSX, repairing the disk, and checking the RAM, but nothing worked. (The disk and RAM repairs said there was nothing wrong)
