I need help with BungeeCord

I'm trying to setup BungeeCord so I can link my Towny and Factions servers. I don't fully understand how BC works even though I've watched multiple videos on how to set it up. Will I need a third server just to host BC on? I just want to set it up so people on either server can do /server factions to switch to the factions server and the same for switching to towny with /server towny

EDIT: Everytime I set my server to online-mode: false to get BC to connect to it, it just sets it back to true. In the startup bat file I have -o false so shouldn't it stay false in the server.properties?

I am not to sure about bungeecord but i have seen a good tutorial on it on the spigot website if you haven't seen that yet, It has a youtube tutorial also. Sorry i could not help that much, always had an old friend of mine setup it on my old server a couple years back. Here is the link anyhows (It has spaces because i cant post links yet :/)

Ah, I hated setting Bungee up for the first time.
It's fairly simple after you understand what's going on..
You need three servers, one for the towny server, the factions server, and the lobby server (you'll only need two servers if you want your players to connect to the Factions or Towny servers rather than a lobby). The BungeeCord instance is only to have the connections set up.
In the server.properties for the factions and towny server, the online mode should be set to false. Keep BungeeCord in online mode. Also make sure that the ports/IPs for the faction and towny worlds are hard to guess to connect with, because connecting directly with the IP:Port of the offline server will obviously allow for non-premium accounts to join.

If you're still having issues (or if my explanation just overall sucked), message me and I can try to help you out from there.
Also, install a plugin such as onlyproxyjoin, it will only allow connections from the bungeecord ip, as if someone connects from the direct ip, they could spoof their username with a cracked client and get the username of an opped user.

OPJ is outdated and is insanely easy to bypass. I would not recommend using it. At all.
EDIT: Did a quick search and found this. I've never used or even heard of it before, so I'm not sure how it'll work.
