Basic Questions
What is your preferred name? I go by Drizzy.
Who is your favorite artist? My all time favorite would have to be Drake. He is my favorite person in the industry at the moment, and has his fans on a puppet string.
Are you active and willing to listen to criticism? I have just begun my returned activity on HackForums. I believe entry into this group will give me an option to become more active and a chance to discuss and share my ideas about music. I am open for criticism of all sorts and I am always giving my opinion about something.
Tell me about yourself and what you love. I am a 24 year old male living in Los Angeles, CA. I have lived here for a few years now and I have had many different interactions with many different artists of all types. I would say that I love computers, and I consider it to be my passion. As this is a music sector within a group, I will describe my love of music. Hip-Hop has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I have been following various artists since a very long time ago. I grew up listening to 50 Cent, Eminem and mostly Tupac. My love of hip-hop grew and persuaded me to try and find some career in this field. I have managed many different artists. For fun, I have also sang hooks, and produced a few songs. Sadly, I do not have any portfolio work as I did this mostly for fun. I also enjoy marketing, web designing, and shoe collecting. I have been collecting shoes for a few years now and I love the idea of it.

Music Producer
Which DAW are you most familiar with and what is your experience with production? I am most familiar with Logic Pro. I have some experience with Fruit Loops and Garageband. I have produced for fun but haven't done it in a long time.
Please provide a small portfolio of recent or past work. N/A for reasons stated above.
Are you willing to collaborate with other artists within Riptide? Yes, I am willing to share my knowledge as well as possibly gaining knowledge from other group members.
Are you willing to assist other members of this group? Yes of course.
Listener/Record Reviewer
What is your preferred genre and what is your experience with reviewing/understanding music? My preferred genre is Hip-Hop/Rap. I always listen deeply to lyrics within a song. I try and find the meanings myself, otherwise I resort to websites like RapGenius. I was almost about to make a YouTube page dedicated to reviewing albums/songs such as BIGQUINT. I also enjoy analyzing the beat and I sometimes enjoy songs by some specific producers just because of the beat.
Please provide a small review on a song of your choice from whatever genre.
At the time of writing this post, I am listening to Monster by Future, and I will review a song from this mixtape.
Future - Throw Away
Produced by Nard & B this song is one of my favorite on the mixtape. It shows Future's R&B side, and if you are familiar with Future this isn't usually the case. This mixtape, written after his breakup with pop-star Ciara, really shows his true feeling toward life and women. Throw Away describes the lack of emotion Future feels when he is with many different women. The beginning of the song starts off with Future talking about his experience with women and how much he is having in all the clubs. The emotion slowly starts to get deeper. When the beat changes (great production here by Nard & B), Future begins to declare his feelings for Ciara is what I personally believe. He is admitting that his side chicks have ruined his relationships but that he still hopes that his "one true love" is still thinking about him. After that, he is basically saying that he doesn't care about Ciara anymore, but he wants her to think about him.
"Mark my words ima ball without you
I came home last night to a ménage
Got my dick sucked I was thinking about you
I was fucking on a slut and I was thinking about you
When you're fucking another nigga hope you're thinking about me
When you laying with that nigga are you thinking about me"
In all, I had to keep this review short, but this is a great song. Even though some people don't understand Future when he sings/raps, there is still much meaning. If you actually listen to the lyrics and the production, you can see that there is more to it than just bitch, shit, fuck and nigga.
Have you ever reviewed music in publication? Not professionally. I have kept a blog from before, long before, and I wasn't into it. I generally like to review music in person.
Are you willing to review artists within Riptide? Yes, of course! This is one of the main reasons I would like to join the group. I would enjoy hearing your opinions on some of my work, and I would love to review your guys' work.
Are you willing to assist other members of this group with your feedback? Yes. I will not only provide constructive criticism but I will provide my true opinion of the groups work in a mature way. The only way to get better is to practice, and read my reviews ;).
Thank you for the opportunity to apply. This seems like a great group with meaning, and I would love to be a part of it.

Basic Questions
What is your preferred name? Soulmate but I go by a lot of other names
Who is your favorite artist? Baauer
Are you active and willing to listen to criticism? Yes I'm always ready to accept criticism especially when working in the art and business fields.
Tell me about yourself and what you love. I'm originally from Russia but I moved to America when I was around 10 and a few months ago I moved to Canada which is where I'll be living for the new few years so I have tons of diversity in music culture. I love technology and music mostly, I'm studying Business Technology Management at university and 100% of my free time goes into doing stuff musically related. I'm not really a producer but I know the scene pretty well and I have a little bit of experience in FL. Right now I really love listening to rap and the new wave of trap which is very experimental and cool. Sometimes I like chill stuff but usually I stick to hard hitting beats and instrumentals.

Listener/Record Reviewer
What is your preferred genre and what is your experience with reviewing/understanding music? My preferred genres are rap and bass, mostly future bass and trap. I've been using reddit quite a lot to expose myself to new music and while I don't really have MUSIC reviewing experience, I used to review a lot of movies and TV shows. -> click as you can see most of the reviews for the old offical HF group Infamous were done by me as I led the review team.
Please provide a small review on a song of your choice from whatever genre.
Keith Ape - IT G MA Remix (josh pan Opus) w/ sakuraburst, MISOGI, X&G, MEDASIN., oshi
Ever since Keith Ape has had his newfound fame in North America, there have been many variations and remixes of his hit "IT G MA". If you have not heard the original and the remix it is highly advised as the energy and instrumentals are breathtaking. A short while after the song released, some American rappers decided to hop on it as well which was the second phase for the song, with A$AP Ferg, Father, Dumbfoundead & Waka Flocka Flame spitting bars in place of the original Korean and Japanese rappers that brought the song into phase. Now however, with the new Opus by Josh Pan the song is brought into phase 3 with a 14 minute remake featuring all new instrumentals from the current best experimental bass artists and a new verse from Anderson Paak, the producer for Dr. Dre's Compton
Since over 10 artists worked on this over 14 minute long "song", it might feel like it would be clunky or unorganized but it is just the opposite. Think of being in college and writing a group paper, with all the strong sides coming out of all the individual writers then the executive writer putting it all together into a masterpiece that deserves much more than an A+.
Have you ever reviewed music in publication? No
Are you willing to review artists within Riptide? Yes, that is actually what I was hoping to have to do
Are you willing to assist other members of this group with your feedback? Definitely
Good luck on all applicants take time on your applications.
