I decided to check out the file to see if it was infected, so I ran it on a secure computer and I detected traffic from a dns that is used.

There's always done something about it, HF does not tolerate people infecting members. Staff always Warns/Bans members when it comes to this. Also OP report the thread next time, make sure you post the detection rate on the thread. Also even when you've reported and nothing's being done about it for a while you can PM a Staff member who's online and it'll be dealt with immediately.
