Introduction
Welcome to The Brotherhood's recruitment thread for the Userscript Sector. We will focus on creating useful userscript to the community, wether these are destined to HackForums or not. We will also give assistance to members in the Web Browsers section as well as in the Javascript, Ajax, and Node JS section. We will also have a thread open answering every kind of userscript requests. Each member will be required to make at least one userscript per week (from this thread or an idea they had) and release it publicly to stay in The Brotherhood.
I am looking to recruit only around 5-7 individiuals so make your application stands out.


Requirements

• No open or unresolved scam report.
  
• Must be able to follow The Brotherhood Handbook.
  
• Must be a member of HackForums for at least three months.
  
• Must not have a bad reputation within the HackForums community.
  
• Must be able to create one userscript per week (unless vacation or unexpected departure).
  
• Each applicant will be reviewed by Cryptic. If you are not in good terms with him, don't bother applying.
  

Application
This won't be your typical application. Each applicants is required to create a new script (not something you already created) and release it in the Web Browsers section. The script will have to offer multiple settings (hence a settings box), and at least one main feature. The script have to work without any kind of bugs.

Why should you be accepted :
Because I like to work in development teams and I want to increase my knowledge about userscript development.
I have a lot of experience when it comes to coding (especially web development) and already a bit experience with JavaScript and jQuery so it won't be a problem to learn more advanced stuff.
I know you and your work that's why I'm applying. Will be a great chance to increase my knowledge.

Some people have been personal messaging me about the script that you have to make. I do not require you to make something complex such as the next HFES, or something really elaborate. Also, if you have a lack of ideas, you could simply just browse the ‘Suggestions and Ideas’. This is a goldmine for gathering ideas on what the community want, just implement that in a user script!

I would not use a number to describe myself because I feel it may be a unfair representation. I have experience with creating scripts, them being in a different language or used for a different purpose. I have not created any actual user scripts for HF before this therefor the only real honest answer for this is below 3. However I give myself a much higher score when it comes to creating anything at a given time.
Why should you be accepted :
I feel like this is a great chance to get some great contribution into HF, as well as a perfect time to learn more about javascript as my main language is PHP. I feel like this could both benefit the community and the group, and of course; myself.

Are you going to teach members?
Or are they expected to know what they are doing?

I'm learning a decent adjourn of JavaScript now after working with Jquery.
But how does that relate to userscripts?

A user script course - possibly a tutorial - is something which I would definitely like to make (Archive days 😊), however its not scheduled to happen yet. But, you can still be recruited even if it is your first user script you’ve ever made - just as long as it meets the requirements of the Brotherhood’s recruitment. I’m looking more for dedication than skill.

Userscripts are only JavaScript with a few functions added; you can easily get into userscripts (without knowing jQuery) in a few hours if you know how to interact with the DOM using JS.
