Vine to instagram

am i allowed to download videos from vines and upload them to my instagram account? Are they copyrighted or something like that?
They are considered copyrighted, but even with YouTube it is still a grey area for content thieves. Instagram has no automated content ID matching, so the reports need to be done manually.

If you have a small Instagram account nothing bad will happen since the copyright owner will never see your re-upload. If your account is bigger, do what all the other content thieves do and keep an e-mail in your bio for takedown requests.

You just need to add som things in the bio, if you're interested I can help you with this.

Thanks! I currently have in my bio "I do not own any of the posted content"

You are better off putting an e-mail address and just write "Business/Removals:"

Having "I do not own any content" will still cause them to file a takedown request which could put penalty on your account.

What? Not at all.

Both of them don't do anything for you legally. You are stealing someone else's content regardless of what you do. The whole point is to try to avoid them filing a copyright claim directly through Instagram which could penalize your account.

If you write "I don't own any content", and a content creator sees their content on your page, they are still going to file a report through Instagram.

If they see the e-mail, perhaps they contact you instead and you deal with it off-site.

Mhm so this is how the big accounts avoid getting banned?

Exactly. Instagram and Twitter are not very strict about punishing copyright infringers, but doing this will allow you to settle any possible disputes off-site.
