I've not mastered the art of EWhoring, however I have developed a fool proof method.
Instead of using chats what I do is post in craigslist. I make an add with a non nude photo. And usually in the casual encounters section or the adult services section. Then I coach whoever emails me into sending me a payment for my time before hand and in exchange they get the pack of nudies. I usually say something like this:
"I'm interested in meeting someone this evening. Usually men buy my picture packs first its $20 via paypal. It helps me verify the serious guys who want to have some extra fun ;) :) and also its a way of me being safe. So if you want to meet tonight then we will work something out after the $20 paypal payment and I send you my pics. If you want to know if I'm real or not let me know how I can verify it to you.

It works great. Most guys try not to deal with that but you send a few teaser pics and say they get the full nudes after the payment. The thing about this is most people expect a chargeback or something. Just never discuss a payment for sex or anything. anytime they ask about it just keep saying we'll discuss that after the $20 paypal payment.
I'll let you know in the past 2 days I've made $260 doing this. Because they won't dispute or bother you too much because they are thinking they are getting a prostitute at their door sometime in the evening (with enough SEing skills) and so they make the payment. They won't dispute because well lets face it they arent going to tell paypal they bought a prostitute or made a payment to one lol.
I hope this helps as a second method for you to use. This is my primary and works a lot better than hit or miss chat rooms.
