Google has launched a new program called Local Guides in Google Maps. In this program you need to contribute to the Google Maps by Uploading photos of new places, writing reviews, correcting false details etc.
For each contribution, you will receive points. Each level will unlock some new google feature.

a) Level 1 (0 - 4 points): Enter exclusive contests (think new Google devices!) in select countries.

b) Level 2 (5 - 49 points): Get early access to new Google products and features.

c) Level 3 (50 - 199 points): Show up in the Google Maps app with your official Local Guides badge.

d) Level 4 (200 - 499 points): Receive a free 1 TB upgrade of your Drive storage, allowing you to keep all the stories, photos, and videos from your travels in one safe place.

e) Level 5 (500+ points): The very top Local Guides will become eligible to apply to attend our inaugural summit in 2016, where you’ll be able to meet other top Guides from around the world, explore the Google campus, and get the latest info about Google Maps. Look out for details early next year.


That is right, if you reach level 4, you will receive 2 TB of google drive storage free for two years.
That is roughly about $345 you will be saving.

All you need to do is to signup for Google's Local Guides and download the Android and iOS application.

* How Much Point Will You Receive With Each Contribution?

Upload one or more photos to the same place = 1 point
Upload two photos + one review to the same place = 2 points
Write five reviews of five different places = 5 points
Answer one or more local questions about the same place = 1 point
Make one or more edits to the same place = 1 point
Add a new place = 1 point
