Not sure if this has been posted before but this video is so true I don't even know. It got me thinking about the things they're teaching us in school, kept trying to think of real life situations where I was going to use it but couldn't come up with any.
Don't Stay in School |

Jobs you can get from staying in school:
Doctor, 100K+ salary Lawyer, 100K+ salary Engineer, 100K+ salary Pharmacist, 100K+ salary Dentist, 100K+ salary See where I'm getting at? Quit school and you'll be making 20k a year working in horrible conditions while being yelled at by your boss 24/7 and dealing with shitty customers, if you're lucky, or homeless. And don't tell me "But Bill Gates dropped out of school" - no, he quit Harvard, because he was too smart for school and was way ahead of his peers, not because school was too hard for him. Compare the 'average' person in school to the 'average' drop out, and you'll see the average person staying in school turned out much better than the average drop out. Don't compare famous people who dropped out and are now rich to the average school graduate, that is just faulty/retarded logic. Compare them to the famous people who stayed in school. Don't take that video to heart, the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. We obviously need to teach theoretical things in school because our society needs doctors, engineers, and theoreticals. They don't teach things like doing taxes in school because anybody can do it. Even retarded people. My grandparents who came fresh off the boat from eastern europe and don't speak a word of english know how to do their taxes, so I'm sure some high school kid can figure it out after turning 18. It's also a massive part in developing social abilities. Also, as the one guy stated, we have mandatory finance class at my school, based in the US. This is also coming from a guy who dropped out in 6th grade and successfully caught back up after 3 years. Those 3 years were the biggest mistake of my life. ![]()

I was so lucky, because I caught up and managed to graduate high school at 19. Now I'm in uni studying engineering. Stay in school. Even famous people who dropped out (like Bill Gates) returned to school to complete their degree, to encourage others to not drop out. I understand that school is important despite the things they're teaching us, I personally would never drop out of school. Bill Gates had his career set for him, why would he waste any more time in school? He could just invest his time into his projects and make hella more money than if he were to finish school.

It is so small that I don't understand why his name is always brought up as if dropping out of school increases the chance to be successful as him. ![]() |
