Okay so lets say I have a keyboard, mouse, and several flash drives and I have 3 computers.
I want to hook up these items to one USB Hub type thing then have the hub plugged into the computers.
I want to switch these devices between each computer without unplugging anything. So like just pushing a button on the hub to switch.
But I need the hub to have like 5 USB ports in it. All able to transfer data back to the computer.
I've used hubs with splitters before so I was able to plug in like 4 things. But it only worked for power. Data wasn't transferred back.
So if anyone knows of a hub like this that would be awesome.

You could just set it up on one computer and make it shared access over the network or get a better router and you can plug in a extermal into the USB port.
If you are wanting to share 1 keyboard across multiple devices then I assume you want a KVM switch? If that's the case let me know.

Something like this
Edit: I looked at the video. I think i'll go with a KVM switch instead of the individual things. Looks like that's exactly what I need.
Is there any way I could use more than two USB ports though?
Preferably at least 4?
I would try a splitter but they normally don't work for data.

There are some KVM switches that are really nice, make sure you get your DVI/HDMI/VGA accordingly lol
Some even have remote controls to switch through the displays which is cool - I personally use mine for my raspberry pis, it has 2 VGA inputs and 3 USB ports.
Model number FJ-2UK/4UK
Probably not what you are after but mine works fine for me.

Depends on the cable management side of things to be honest, how far away is each machine as you may have to find longer attachments for the first one.

I think i'm going to stick with the second one simply because of the extra USB port which was one of my issues. Cable management won't be the best but my setup isn't exactly the best so it won't be too big of a deal. Maybe if I can find some L angle VGA cables it won't look as bad.
All the computers are right next to each other. Distance isn't an issue at all.
