  • Introduction

- HackForums is a very well known place for it's incredible marketplace sales, It ranges from eBooks to Social Medium Accounts to even physical items being shipped to your home. The only downside, Is being scammed by a member of the community on and off-site. There is no way to avoid being scammed, However, You can potentially reduce the chances of being a victim of a scam. To do so, I will list a few steps that will be able to help you succeed in doing so. Please note that everything I type on this thread is not going to 100% protect you from a scam, You should know that by dealing with ANYONE online, You are agreeing to the risk of being scammed. You MUST deal with caution.

  • Trust Scan

- The "Trust Scan" is a feature on Hack Forums for which I believe is available for ALL members, I will confirm this very soon with a Non-Upgraded user.

PREVIEW OF THE TRUST SCAN
Spoiler (Click to View)

The trust scan can be used for many purposes, It can be used to view details on an account such as "Deal Dispute Database " that are open on the user that you are searching. This can be used to view any unsolved deal disputes that were submitted by the users who were scammed. The trust scan is available to you to make your own decision to either deal or to not deal with the user. Once again, This is NOT going to 100% keep you from being scammed, Anyone at anytime can scam you, Please keep that in mind.

To access the Trust scan, You must go to the user's profile, Find the tab that says "Reputation" and Click on the text that says "Trust Scan"

  • Search Page

-The search page is a very useful tool when dealing on HF, This tool allows you to search any Members UID "User ID".

The UID are the last few digits at the end of a profile link, This is used in all Deal Disputes to display the user who had scammed another member. The UID can be used to search for any other Threads/Posts related to that user. You can view deal disputes, or even applications that the user had made within user groups.

In this case, Before dealing with any member, Enter the users UID in the search bar and you can change the search to 2 settings, 1. To see the Thread Titles with that UID, Or 2. See all the posts that have posted that UID. Either is fine, Just make sure to check thread titles first as they can show any Deal Disputes that happened on site.

Make sure to also check whether the deal dispute was resolved or if it is even valid.

  • MiddleMan

- A Middleman is the person that will make sure the deal goes smoothly, Ofcourse, There is always a chance that unfortunately the middleman will potentially scam aswell. Don't avoid using ALL of them, There is a small amount of VERY trusted middlemen that have dealt over thousands of dollars and have completed the deals successfully. A MiddleMan is always a very important factor when dealing online. If you are dealing with a high amount of money and don't trust a random member on HF, You can use an Escrow that are legitimate and working for a business guaranteed to keep your deals 100% safe, However, Unfortunately there is a fee you must pay.

Here is a list of Middlemen that I will use in the the forum.

Maximum
Minimalist
AXiS

These are just a few, Please note that there are many trusted MM but these are just the few that I personally would use.

  • Reputation

-
Reputation is a system in Hack Forums that allows upgraded users to give either Positive or Negative rep to any user they feel like. Reputation means nothing when it comes to whether a user is trust worthy or not, Do NOT let reputation vouch for that user, ANYONE CAN SCAM YOU! The reputation system is also a good way to check and see how other users experiences went when dealing with that specific user. If you see "DWC" This means "Deal With Caution" This is to inform all users that they should be careful or avoid dealing with that specific member at all costs. Please do NOT let reputation make that user seem trusted, They could have over 1000 Positive Reputation, That should not make them trusted to you or anyone else, They can scam at any time!

Please keep in mind, These are just a few ways to prevent scams from happening, but it is NOT guaranteed that you are 100% safe from being scammed. You are always at risk of being scammed online. Deal with caution.

I will be updating this thread tomorrow, It's late and I am tired. I appreciate ALL feedback on the thread and any suggestions are also welcome. Deal Safe!
Wow il never be scammed again sir!
Very nice tutorial. It's obviously going to help a lot of people out. Maybe you should add a section that reputation isn't everything. And to check reputation and not just the number as they could have many Deal with caution, or do not deal with reps but they still have a high enough rep where those don't really make a difference on the number.
Pretty nice for noobs here thanks for the tut!
If I ain't got it, pockets hurting, I'ma rob a person

Very - very - VERY HQ Tutorial! Nice man.
Decent, but the design of this thread is an eye sore.

Plus, there's already a stickied thread that goes into more detail about this...

Thank you for your opinion on this, I did not see that thread you linked me to anywhere in the sticky section, Not sure if that is a mistake or not. My apologies, I just like creating threads that help newer members here, I also like to practice on my writing skills, so excuse me if it looks horrid 😏.
Feel free to add me to the list of MM. I have a whole thread for it.
Great guide for the newer members on HackForums.
