Central Processor

i5 6600 or i5 6600k

Wich one should i buy the i5 6600 or i5 6600k, it will bw used mainly for gaming, the thing is the i5 6600 is only 3.3 Ghz and the i5 6600k is 3.5 Ghz wich one will perform better without overclocking ofc.
K series processors are meant for overclocking.

If you don't feel like overclocking then just grab the 6600 and call it a day.
Make sure to get an h170 board if you do, though.

Z boards are for overclocking and H/B boards aren't.

The difference is meh.

Exactly this. If you're not overclocking, don't pick a K CPU.
Oh okey i know that K is for overclock, but without overclocking they are equaly the same arent they ?

The K processor is just a little stronger.
The K Series just make your build expensive ,as Z Mother boards are expensive... So its on you whatever you wanna do , if you are hardcore gamer and going to over clock it then ofcource "K" series

Yeah Intel was like "yo man this 6600 is way too cheap let's make a more expensive variant, and call it 6600k. That way people can get a more expensive build!"

Also Z motherboards have absolutely nothing to do with the processor. You can pair a K processor with an H/B board, you'll just lose the availability to overclock.

You tried to repeat what other people already said but failed miserably. Please refrain from doing that again.

As other users have said, If you do not plan on Overclocking getting the K series is unnecessary.

Get the K if you are going to be overclocking. IF youre not overclocking, the K would be a waste bc it's meant for overclocking.
Wow I never knew the K mean it was for over locking lol

Ther are other minor differences that don't really matter much but essentially the "k" denotes that the multiplier is "unlocked" so that you can easily overclock the CPU rather than just minor adgjustments to the baseclock.
