A lot of anime can be "hardcore". I'm not saying NSFW or 18+, but some anime seems to be tailored for people who are used to seeing some weird, but kid friendly content. I feel like there's also anime that has a stronger "anime feel" to it than shows that may be more tailored to American audiences...

Legend of Korra for example has a much different animation style/vibe than many other popular anime shows.

So, I'm curious as to what the best shows are for new anime viewers? 🙂

Depends on what type of shows you're looking for. I'd reccomend you to start with
7 Deadly Sins for an action anime. Its really good and only 24 episodes atm.

Hunter x Hunter is really great to start watching, other recommendations are One Punch Man & maybe Sword Art Online but it's got mixed opinions.

Watch death note , Magi , Log horizon . If you want something thats really long try One piece ,Naruto ,hunter x hunter or fairy tail. All of these animes are action related animes.

Myheroacadmia is like a superhero cartoon, but it's really fun to watch and has a good storyline and nothing to weird in the anime

One punch man need to get to around ep 3-4 and that's where you really start to enjoy it. A very OP character but they found a way to create something to work towards

Naruto, nothing to bad and it's about ninjas and really entertaining the only thing is the amount of episodes being daunting.

I started with One Piece but its daunting thinking about how many episodes there are, Hunter x Hunter is good but it gets weird mid season,
