PHP or AngularJS?

Okay so I know most people will say PHP, but hear me out.
I'm currently searching for a Junior Front-End web development job in NY, I currently know HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery.
I was wondering if I should learn AngularJS to improve my Front-End skillset, or PHP.

The reason I am asking about PHP is I've seen a lot of job requirements put in PHP for front-end, which struck me as odd. I've seen some ask for AngularJS, and some for both too.

Also, I don't really see the point of JUST learning basic PHP, if I learn PHP I'll probably need to learn mySQL and some other stuff to compliment that PHP skill right? Because basic PHP by itself isn't really useful, or am I totally wrong?

From what I've seen, if you learn PHP you'll need some other skills to compliment it, like if you wanna build a login system or CMS, you would need a mySQL database system too right? So I'd have to also learn mySQL.

I'm just really confused on which road to go take. In the end I'll have to learn both AngularJS AND PHP anyway, but right now I just wanna know which I should learn the basics of first, so I can widen my skillset and add to my resume. Also, to show off on my next site I'll build and add to my portfolio.

So can you guys please tell me which road I should take right now and answer my questions/confusions I stated in this post?
If you want to be a front end developer then you should learn Angular
If you want to be full stack then learn php
PHP and Angular aren't used to do the same thing. PHP is a backend language while Angular is used for frontend. So it depends what you wanna do.
Nowadays, MEAN stack is the trend (MEAngularN) and PHP's getting old (although it's still a language to know imho), so you might want to go ahead and learn MEAN and forget about PHP.

Either way, we can't really compare these languages.

angular could be use for the backend as well as it can work with services

The first month I learned PHP I earned a few hundred dollars on HF.
The first month I learned CSS & HTML & some JS, I earned $0.
PHP really does pay out well... However, for your career I'd recommend AngularJS AND PHP. Why not? It should only take you a few months at most to be comfortably coding full platforms with PHP, and I'm sure you have many years to go in life... so why not?
