Elfen Lied OP:

Often one of the more recommended anime, Elfen Lied has made a name for itself over the past few years, and for good reason. It boasts an audacious story comprised of pure gore and complexity. Spoiler (Click to View) Yet from an objective standpoint, this seems only to be true to the famous 10 first min of the 1st ep, and thereafter everything seems toned down except for a few scenes as it tries to rebuild from where it left off Nevertheless, the show does permit more interesting aspects within the story and a fastened pace to comprise the 13 eps, which ends well for the short anime.

Artwork was decent, however the sound was most memorable, especially the OP Lilium. Characters were an interesting perspective. This is where the psychological aspect as most of the main characters are intertwined with their past in horrid ways in their eyes that comes back to haunt them. Overall, it is an anime that will definitely surprise you for those of you watching for the first time, and can be a very enjoyable watch if you don't mind all the blood ;)

It's alright but it's kind of "edgy for the sake of being edgy" and this is coming form someone who loves edgy stuff.

On the topic of edge, I really hate it when anime does gore like everyone is just a balloon of blood. It's a disgrace to true guro.

That being said I still enjoyed Elfen Lied and the girls are pretty cute.

Wow, their theme song is in my favorite song. Sorry if it's kinda off topic. I was meaning to start watching this anime solely because of this fact lol.
