I am going to show you how to create a Windows 10 Bootable USB Installer
Method 1:
You will need:
A Computer running Windows 7 or later with access to the internet
A Blank 8 GB or more USB Flash Drive
You Windows 10 Disc image (typically in .iso format)
Patience
1. Go to http://wudt.codeplex.com/ and download the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool
2. Install the program on the computer. Follow the prompts as you would with any other program
3. Once installed launch it and you should have a small white box prompting you to choose your .iso file
4. Insert your flash drive. If you have any files on it you want to keep please back them up because we are going to format your USB.
5. Browse for the Windows 10 .iso file you want to use
6. Next screen is going to ask you do you want to create USB bootable media or burn an installation DVD. Select USB Device
7. Select your USB Device from the drop down menu.
8. Once selected click the Began Copying button. It will prompt you to Erase the USB Device. Click on Erase USB Device.
9. The process will commence. This is where Patience will come into play. Once finished It should say USB Media created (or something along them lines)
10. You are now done. I recommend to rename the device in Computer/This PC so in the future you know what architecture (32bit x86 or 64 bit x64) and version of Windows 10 (Home or Pro) you have created.
Method 2
You will need:
A Computer running Windows 7 or later with access to the internet
A Blank 8 GB or more USB Flash Drive (if creating a USB Installer)
A Blank DVD and a DVD Burner (If burning a Disc image)
The Media Creation Tool (Download links below)
Patience
1. Download the Media Creation Tool from one of the links below. One is for 32 bit systems and the other is for 64 bit systems. (The architecture is for the system you are currently on)
32 Bit: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vqyf54...oolx32.exe
64 Bit: http://www.mediafire.com/download/sao4xb...oolx64.exe
2. Once you downloaded the desired architecture you want, (me I am using 64 bit for this tutorial) Open the .exe
3. Click the radio button beside Create installation media for another PC and click next.
4. Select your Language, Edition (Home or Pro) and select your Archetitcture. Note you have three choices 32-bit (x86), 64-bit (x64), or Both. When I created mine I used the Both Option.
5. After you selected your desired options, click Next.
6. Choose weather you want to create a USB installer or do you want to create a disc image (.iso). After you select your desired option Click next.
6a. If creating a .iso file browse for a location and give it a name.
7a. Once you click Save, the Tool will began to download Windows 10. Please be patient this could take awhile.
6b. If you want to create a USB Installer, click the USB Flash Drive and click next
7b. Browse for your flash drive. Back your files up now because the next step will reformat the flash drive.
8b. Click Next. the Tool will began to download Windows 10. Please be patient this could take awhile.
9. You should now have either an .iso disc image or a USB Installer. You are now done.
