As the title states, why cant you send a picture inside of a private message?

When you try to add a photo in a PM you get:
Code
www.xxx(website).com

instead of something like:
[Image: rNu7Q4q.jpg]

Sorry if this has already been asked, I am just personally curious.

Because that'd lead to targeted IP grabbing. There's also a rule against it.
