The title says the essence of my problem and to elaborate, my Metasploit installation on Kali 2016 seems flawed or then I am just being ignorant and I have missed something obvious. 🤦♂
So, the problem is that when I am setting up a listener and successfully get a compromised client to connect to my listener, I cannot use 'run' command and especially 'run hostsedit'.
This just made me wonder is that feature discontinued or what?
The error message states that my version of Metasploit does not support that script. But, I have the latest Metasploit version and have tried to update it using 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade' and 'msfupdate'. Despite these, the problem persists.
That's why I though it has been discontinued... 😧
