Been grinding through this, never realized how much I like romance, comedy, and a hint of low-key ecchi. I've never watched anything of the sort because my friends never recommended these types of anime as I've been too caught up with psychological and action. Guess it's nice to explore new things. Kind of glad I did.

It's great, said the same myself, I've always been a fan of romance but wasn't a fan of Slice of Life which Sakurasou falls under, it's one of my fav anime
Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria is a masterpiece 10/10

Good to hear I'm not the only one who enjoyed it. It was fucking great.
Far as I can remember it was all tease and no glory. For an actual 24 episodes.
Hate anime that push you through all that shit and you get no reward for it.
I'm kind of the same way. I find it relaxing to change my viewing pace. I have been so buried deep into the world of action that sometimes I forgot that there is lots of thoroughly interesting romance, comedy, slice of life anime.
Been in my top 5 for awhile now, amazing anime.
Every time I listen to the OP I get teary eyed :'(

Hm I guess I can agree with you there. Although, I do enjoy the experience of going through those push and pulls; however, I do understand that there should be a reward. Definitely still one of my top animes regardless.

I mean if it had some sort of closure in the ending with a little something it would of been in one of my top anime. Far as I remember it copped out with a little narrative with the girl not understanding her feelings which is good enough I guess but I like something a little more solid. One of the main reasons I can't watch Harem's either.
Still, was pretty enjoyable I guess. Just felt if it had concluded a little better it could of took it higher. 24 episodes of character development for not alot is kind of annoying to me though.

tl;dr of what happens in the remainder of the show since they aren't going to animate it.
They have sex in the volume after where it left off, they get into an actual relationship, however MC gets upset at the growing attention his GF gets so in the final volume they break up. During the epilogue, it fast fowards some years and they cross paths. They start talking, and claim to both love each other still, happy ending.

Thats a cliché way of ending it or at least the epilogue is cliché.

Cliche as fuck, but always good to watch if they do end up animating that.
Any recommendations within the realm of school/romance/comedy?

Good choice. Wasn't sure at first too but I ended up loving it.

I've heard good things about it, amazing so far. Glad MAL is filled with only animes that I loved, hope I can keep on this streak.
