I just spent a quick five minutes in photoshop making a personal avi, so I can be a bit more known, what do you guys think?

People don't usually use avatars with their names or letters like that, but if it was like 2010 I would give you a 6/10 just because of the color scheme and how it looks a bit amateur and kiddy. Other than that 10/10 for effort I can see you put some work into it and if you like it it looks like it's paid off.

1. Looks like its from 2009.

If you are going to go with that style I wouldn't bother trying to improve on it. Like everyone says it's very old so your best bet is to try to make some type of art piece or drawing for your avatar or try to create an avatar pack for default HF avatars.
Most people just find their avatars on random image sites or put something they like or think looks cool which they didn't make
