I'm trying to work on removing some of the hidden characters that aren't already removed by MyBB functions. Such as the LTR and RTL characters.

Currently the RTL and LTR are now disallowed. They are simply removed from the username so if it's being used to impersonate a member it will instead say that the username is taken.

What I'd like to know from members is if there are other blank or hidden characters I'm not aware of that are not removed by MyBB.

If you see any user with a hidden character you can enter their name here:

That will tell you which hex/dec code it is. If you see a new code that's not removed so far (list below) please PM me the HEX or DEC code. Let's see if we can eliminate this problem over time.

Yes! I hope we will get rid of a lot of scammers/impersonator shere on Hackforums. This is atleast a start to make HF a safer place to buy/sell and trade stuff on.

You could also add something like a weekly name change time limit this would stop most imposters as they wouldn't be able to name change back instantly.
