Should I bother adding a Monero award to HF and the option to buy upgrades with XMR (Monero)?
Had at least 2 members mention it to me.

No, its just another fad and its not going to much in a couple months from now.
ETH is already fading away...

Do it. It's here to stay with real adopters and real merchants accepting it. Even better than ETH in my opinion.
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.

Bitcoin ledger is too public for some and the excessive use of mixers is a problem. BTC addresses now get flagged by exchanges and can get accounts closed. XMR isn't going anywhere. What is an issue is ETH and how they screwed up their chain with a fork. I'm still rooting for ETH but I think they will need a lot of time to recover and that's providing they aren't supplanted by a better alt-coin. If given a choice of what technology I preferred I'd go with XMR over BTC or ETH at this point.

Adding a monero award and allowing it for upgrades would make people purchase XMR coins, thus adding more coins to circulation and pumping up the value.
It would be a smart move to allow it on HF. ![]() (Sep 2, 2016 01:13 PM)Omniscient Wrote: I don't believe it will fade as it solves a problem for dark markets. ETH made their move due to devs being huge bagholders (losers) due to the hack...their greed is what forced the fork. They weren't man enough to accept the loss for their mistake. If they serve the same purpose as an already existing coin than why would it surpass the original? People see altcoins, e.g Monero, ETH, Bitcoin as competing coins, when really they should be used in conjunction with each other to serve their each individual purposes. Btw, did you hear about Winklevoss's opening up ETH into their trading platform? https://gemini.com/blog/gemini-is-now-th...-exchange/
I think literally any new award that you make will be supported, it doesn't matter what currency its in people will find ways to get it.
I know I'd buy it if it becomes available and I've never heard of Monero before. Probably the same with many others.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
