[SUI-3183372]

Owners of DDoS Service vDOS, M30w and Apple J4ck., have been arrested and released on bond in Israel. The arrests took place on September 9th, as a part of an ongoing FBI investigation. They are ordered to not touch a computer or telecommunication device for 30 days, and are to remain on house arrest.

This likely concludes what was turning out to be an interesting string of events after Brian Krebs released the attack logs from April 2016 to August 2016 of all customers using the vDOS website. Initially after the attack logs were released, vDOS retaliated against Krebs launching a fairly large DDoS attack against his website. They additionally claimed responsibility on an attack against BackConnect Security, which ultimately backfired immensely when BackConnect Security performed a BGP Hijack against vDOS' network and took control of vDOS' internet addresses sometime on Friday. One has to wonder if any of the vDOS customers will be visited by law enforcement, but my money would be on it being unlikely.

Roughly 1,500 customer's used vDOS from April 2016 to August 2016, a list of those users can be seen here:

If you're on this list, good luck. You know what you signed up for.

Edit: Kreb's has a write up on this posted on his blog now.

[DragonSlayer666]

Shit is getting real. I have bad news for users on that list.

[Nivettez]

Lol, this will be fun to watch

[Woods]

Lmfao, they realeased that list to the public? XD

[Riyu]

Omni is closing every thread regarding this subject

[Lord_Jesus]

Any db leak also? Or nah?

[Mons]

30 days no telecommunication and house arrest is all they get as punishment?
No idea what a bond means tbh.

[Gary]

Not really surprised about this happening. The stresser was pretty fucking big. It was only a matter of time.

You are released on bond prior to being sentenced. Essentially, if you are not considered to be a risk to the public or a risk of fleeing the country, the court can release you on bond, allowing you to remain at home until you are sentenced.
This punishment is only for their time before trial/sentencing. Once they are sentenced they may be hit with prison time, monetary restitution, among other things.

Given the amount of proof and the largeness of their business and client base, what outcome do you think will happen?

[hfaccount78894714312]

the most proof there is si BRIAN KEREBS

Hope the people on the list get what they deserve, Booting is retarded.

thats the punish in our country.
30day no tele and house arrest , they will not put them on jail for it .
but they also will open them a criminal record
that will Affecting them to be hired and the army .

In America, I'd expect 6-12 months prison time and monetary restitution. They're young, so the book isn't going to be thrown at them. But they knowingly and willingly broke the law, so some sort of punishment is to be expected.
I have no idea how strict the justice system is in Israel though. Nor do I know if any other country will attempt to extradite them. This was a part of an FBI investigation. Maybe we'll see them in the US in the near future.

Looks like the feds are after booters now. Cool.
