I'll keep it short. Whenever I go to parties I often get these fucking death-stares from a lot of guys when I'm talking to girls that I'm not even trying to get down with. Do they feel threatened because another guy is "preying" on girls, or do you think it has to do with something else?

I think It's because they're scared that I will "take" their girl for the night or something, but sometimes even happen when I just talk to my male friends as well. Sometimes it gets to the extent that they kick / hit me from behind, which is fucked up, lol.

Yeah it's natural for people to be intimidated by people of the same gender in terms of being competition for potential partners. If that happens frequently I'd say you should just be friends with more girls than guys. Let them deal with it while you get all the pussy.
